My Daughter

I would like to ask my Gratitude family to join me in prayer for my daughter who is facing a crisis point in her life at the moment.
She is in a very unhappy marriage and is struggling to move forward into the next stage.......whatever that may be.
It's very hard to see your child unhappy and seemingly unable to do the things which will bring change. Mid-life is round the corner for her and I wish her courage to find a life for herself while still young.

An update on Jean who is staying with me for a few days.
 
She seems to totally lack any motivation or interest in anything and is not the Jean I know at the moment. It's quite worrying, but I'm letting her just 'be' and talk if she feels like it. She's normally quite a fiery type and it's sad to see that missing in her. Perhaps she just needs to relax for a few days without any pressure.

I keep your daughter and a mother´s sorrow in my prayers and am going to light another candle for both of you. I know only too well how a mother identifies with the cares and worries of her "child". In an earlier post you wrote of 18 years of unhappiness - so what seems to be most needed now is patience, how hard ever it may be. And trust that eventually all will be well.

Today Jean came circle-dancing with me and said afterwards that it energised her and cleared her brain a bit. We had a meal out afterwards, and when we got home she opened up and talked a bit.
 
I'm trying to steer her towards going out on her own, which is hard I know, and finding some pastimes which will make her feel better about herself.
