I just had news that Maija's condition has worsened and she is no expected to live through the night. Please, pray for her and her family and light candles (Maija). They need all the prayers and support we can offer at this difficult time.

Maija has gone home to God. Please, pray for her grieving parents and all her family and light candles in her memory. Thank you for all your past prayers, candles and all the kindness and interest you have shown to Maija and her parents.

Oh dear Edda, I am SO very sorry to hear that Maija has passed on. I prayed so hard along with everyone else for that precious little girl. Sincerest condolences to her family. She sure was a little fighter, God Bless her soul and may she forever Rest in Peace. Such sad news.

I am so sorry - words can't express how sorry I feel for her parents & all who tried so hard to save her. I can't imagine her parents grief. Peace be with you, Edda.

Thank you, Debbie! Yes, this is so very sad especially for her parents whose lives have been dedicated to Maija during her year and one half illness. Her death leaves a tremendous void. They still visit her candle group and we can leave candles for them there. I am going to forward your kind words to them.

Maija is being put to rest on Friday. Her parents are still in shock, especially Maija's mother needs our prayers. Her whole life was focused on this precious child.

Thank you, Lynn! I have seen your candle and forwarded your message to the family. During her angel mass today in church a butterfly flew about! It seemed like a sign to see this in January.

Dear Edda, I spoke of Maija at church, everyone said a prayer for her. I was so happy that they complied with my wishes. They say she's home now, safe in God's loving arms.
I believe the sweet little thing sent the butterfly to show that she is happy, and out of pain and was saying goodbye to her loving parents.

Please, pray for Maija's mother who is having a very hard time dealing with her loss. The many mothers on this forum who have lost a child will understand.
Maija's candle group is still active. The other day her father lit a candle with a message of gratitude for all the prayers and words of comfort.
