My Uncle Toio - 4/8/2008 3:16 PM ( #1 )
Good evening everyone,

it seems that for me it never rains but it pours.

My mother's youngest brother, Vittorio, everyone calls him Toio, Victor in English, will be operated tomorrow for a tumour which has spread from his throat into the intestines.

He's 65, two children, Riccardo and Michele, one grandson, Riccardo's only child, Francesco, a loving wife, Livia.

For reasons I am not at liberty to discuss my mother decided to cut all contacts with her other brother years ago, so this is the only sibling she still cares about and he's in a very serious condition.

Always a heavy smoker, I don't think he ever even tried to stop, and a drinker, but he is still a caring man.

Please pray for him, I firmly beloeve no prayer uttered with the heart goes unheard.

Love,

Chiara

Dear Chiara,
How right you are when you say that "no prayer uttered with the heart goes unheard."

It's so sad when families fall out, but prayer has no such boundaries, and reaches everyone unconditionally.

I will light a candle for your uncle and for all the family.
