Marta and Samuele - 4/17/2008 4:23 PM ( #1 )
Marta will be 8 in July, Samuele will be 6 in a few days.

They are Lucia's and Andrea's kids, she is one of the very few cousins I'm still in contact with, the daughter of my dad's sister.

Lucia is in such deep depression that doctors have declared it isn't safe for her to stay alone for more than a few hours, much less if her childen are there with her, she is only 39.

Siince my grandmother died in early December my aunt Grazia has been spending as much time taking care of them and her as was humanly possible, it is easier when they are in school.

Grazia and Lucia are journeying to Lourdes on roughly the same days as me, although not on the same pilgrimage, we come from different counties.

As my dad was home alone tonight, he doesn't like to talk about it when my mum's home, he opened his heart and said that Grazia is scared Lucia might do something terrible and irreversible with Marta and Samuele.

We hear about these tragedies often enough on the news, I never thought it could happen in the family.

What do we expect of Our Lady at the grotto?

Who knows, it wil be hard to keep silent when we meet, for myself I ask nothing but for them...

Thanks again for listening, it seems these days I'm monopolizing this great community, sorry.

Dear Chiara, don't be silly!!!!!!!!!! Of course you are not monopolizing anything. This Forum is for our cares and heartaches as well as all the other things we talk about. We are a sort of family, and support each other as best we can.

What you care about, we care about.

I feel for Lucia, and will light a candle for her and all who care about her.

Dear Chiara, I completely agree with Jude! It is the purpose of this candle forum to  support those who are burdened in any way, join them in prayer and light candles for their concerns.

I'll keep Lucia and all who love her in my prayers, and light a candle for her.

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Chiara,
I will add my prayers for Lucia, and for Marta and Samuele. May God grant Lucia the peace and light she needs to find her way out of the despair she feels. I will also pray that you have a safe trip to Lourdes. Thank you again for taking our concerns with you.
With love and a grateful heart,
Shirley
