Thanks so much, was @ a healing service Fri. night and the group under rick burned out I guess that may close it;my prayers though for all who lit candles. The annointing though w/ oil was precious and when I returned to Brooklyn from Manhattan & saw the two beams of blue light headed towards heaven from the old WTC site it gave me goose bumps, let's never forget 9/11...

Dear Rick, what a wonderful experience! I noticed that your candle group is going again. Since we are restricted in the number of candles we are able to light it has become more difficult to keep all groups going; ever so often they have to be restarted! Still, you remain in my prayers! Love, Edda

Recently on a blood work (called AFP) a level was in the CANCER RANGE..had labs redone .; and scheduled ct-scan (Nov. 8th) & liver biopsy w/ in a month..praying that this was a false reading..NEED PRAYER & After coming off of the 1 yr. of medications unfortunately my Hep C viral level went up to 4 million---this was an unexpected set back. It appears that the hep c virus hid in some FATTY LIVER, and that made it undetectable. Due to the medications I also may have developed PRE-DIABETES. My HIV remains undetectable, thank God, but I could use a rise in t-cells. Hence, please lift up in prayers for a Fatty Liver to return to normal; Hepatitis C virus level to go down; NO diabetes to progress; and T-Cells needed to boost my immune system to rise. And NO CANCER! A COMPLETE MEDICAL OVER-HAUL ! & Help in getting both pension plans to be 100 % correct; for past disabilty payments to be approved; & a NYC Bond returned. Rick

Thanks I feel those prayers. On Thu.Nov. 8th I took an MRI of liver & pancreas. My dr. is on vacation & I'm anxious about getting the results praying that my liver specialist will be moved to reach me today w/ the results rather than my having to travel & get in a waiting room to see an alternative dr. for those results.Lord move Dr. Gabe to compassion!!!! As this is a holiday w/e..my anxiety will be high if I have to wait until Tue. for results..it'll help though as I plan to be in church Fri. night and over the holiday w/e.... Lord give me favor!

Dear Rick, you are in my prayers, and I have been lighting candles for you! Uncertainty and waiting are very difficult, I know! I do hope your doctor(s) will give you the results soon so you know what you have to deal with. I also hope the news is good or at least as good as it can be. Much love and warm hugs, Edda

Hi Rick. I too am awaiting results of recent tests. The doc told me he has to go heavy duty on my next treatments. Injections every day instead of once a week and 2000mgs of Ribivarin daily as well. Not looking forward to the side effects, but I am confidant of the healing. I already have diabetes so this complicated my first round of treatments. He has to come up with some sort of alternative way of treating both. I know that God is praying for both of because so many people have joined in His prayers for both of us. Keep your head up, stay strong and I will pray for you every day. Together we'll beat this!!! Love, Lynn xoxox

Hey TGIF, trying to maintain a sense of humor, and coveting your ongoing prayers--- I can feel them here; God bless you. Last Thu. I had the MRI @ St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital on my liver and pancreas area-to recap I had two recent blood tests known as AFPs that showed me in a cancer range. Friday, I was in Manhattan & met w/ a nurse practitioner as my dr. is on vacation & we went over the results---absolutely no signs of cancer w/ the only thing noticeable was a very small cyst. The cyst is waterly looking meaning non-cancerous---that's the good news..NO CANCER! The bad news is for the first time in my life is these official findings from my copy of the report it says "The liver has a fine modular contour suggestive of cirrhosis". There's alot more on my copy but concludes w/ "IMPRESSION:" 2.) Hepatic cirrhosis with splenomegaly. Please note that these words used are "suggestive" and "IMPRESSION"...to me, a layman & a believer that my God is still in the healing business..means the results & there was an ultrasound of 5/25/07 that didn't set off any bells and an MRI of 10/31/2003 at Roosevelt that also didn't set off any alarms---are not of course 100% conclusive. If I was in court and said judge I'd like to "suggest" sir,or your honor I get the "impression", he'd probably say EVIDENCE, give me concrete evidence. So at this point we still have an unscheduled liver biopsy that needs to be done & my next appt. w/ my liver specialist Dr. Gabriel Ionesku & my PCP is on Dec. 5th; a biopsy may be done sooner but time has to be scheduled. So like w/ the cancer scare please pray that cirrhosis will not be my downfall, as I proclaim that "I shall not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done" (Psalm 118:17)...but cirroshis is serious--- & most of us know someone w/ that disease..in many ways it can cut life shorter than cancer..but that's not for me, amen: Some facts though: Cirrhosis and chronic liver disease were the 10th leading cause of death for men and the 12th for women in the United States in 2001, killing about 27,000 people each year.[12] Also, the cost of cirrhosis in terms of human suffering, hospital costs, and lost productivity is high. Established cirrhosis has a 10-year mortality of 34-66%, largely dependent on the cause of the cirrhosis; alcoholic cirrhosis has a worse prognosis than primary biliary cirrhosis and cirrhosis due to hepatitis. The risk of death due to all causes is increased twelvefold; if one excludes the direct consequences of the liver disease, there is still a fivefold increased risk of death in all disease categories.[13] I AM AWAITING A DATE FOR A LIVER BIOPSY..PRAY W/ ME FOR NO SERIOUS CIRROSHIS. PS-Lynn pending my liver biopsy if I go on meds I too will have to self-inject daily...plus as I'm prone to anemia on the inteferon I likely would inject procrit too..ouch

Dear Rick, thank you for the update on your medical challenges, and all the other information. I am glad that you don't have any sign of cancer. All you can do now is take one step at a time and hope the results will show you the way. The internet provides you with a wealth of information, but this can get confusing and overwhelming. Statistics are just that. They provide odds but can't predict what happens to any particular person. It is good to be informed, but don't let yourself get upset by them. I keep you in my prayers and light candles for you, With much love, Edda

Dear Rick, Good to hear from you. You may know there is a herb which is quite widely used in cases of Cirrhosis. Obviously I can't name it here, but I'm sure you would find it on the web. Wishing you well, Jude
