I am so very sorry! The noonday news also reported on the sad outcome. The story of brave Barbaro touched so many people. There are 20,689 candles burning as of now!

My kitty, Smokey, will also enjoy his company! I can see him galloping in the fields, whole and healthy!

May 1 million candles be lit to guide Barbaro to heaven. His heart and spirit were just bigger than his physical body could bare.

I am so glad that so many people know about the Rainbow Bridge.  It brings some comfort to those of us that have lost our children with fur to know that they are waiting for us and we will never be parted again.  I know Barbaro is there and meeting new friends and running at full speed through the pastures in Heaven.  I hope he has already met my precious Angel pup, Chelsea who has been at the Bridge since 2004.

God Bless you Barbaro, your bravery and courage allowed the Vets to learn so much that will help others, but your loss was too high of a price to pay.

Welcome, Donna! It is good to think of our four-legged companions enjoying great company. Our and my neighbor's cats - Bualie, Star, Sammie and Sebastian - must be having a great time playing together.

God bless, Barbaro.  He went too soon.  He is with God, playing and free at the Rainbow Bridge with all of our beloved pets and Gods other creatures, great and small.

Barbaro was an American "hero".

RIP, dear boy.

Please help save other horses including wonderful racehorses, family horses, and other sporthorses from a horrible death at the slaughterhouse.  Ask your Senator to cosponsor S. 311 and your Representative to cosponsor H.R. 503 to end horse slaughter for human consumption.  We need action now on these bills.

Thank you!

Peace, sweet Barbaro. Run fast, free and wild in Heaven's meadows. Know how much we all love and miss you. You are forever in our hearts

Light a candle for the horses.  Call your Congressmen today to cosponsor S. 311 in the Senate and HR 503 in the House.

Hello there,
I just joined this forum and I wanted to say how much I miss Barbaro and am still crying and grieving for him. I've been casting around trying to find sites and articles and found this candle site.
I noticed Barbaro's candles were up to 5,000 or 4,000 and have slipped down to around 2000. Let's bring him numbers back up!
Also, I've been lighting candles on this site for Lost in the Fog (foggy), Pine Island (Pine), Gallant Secret (Gal S) and also Secretariat (secre)--may they all rest in peace and run with the angels. Help me bring their numbers back up too!! Thanks, Susan

Welcome to the forum, Susan! There are several candle groups going in memory of and for the protection of horses since many are concerned about their welfare. I  have been lighting candles in several and will continue.
Wishing you everything good,
Edda
Peace and joy!

I'm also lighting candles for foggy (lost in the fog), pine (Pine Island),
