Please light a candle for Gloria.  She has been in a coma for over 2 weeks caused by a stroke brought on by diabetic ketoacidosis.  Gloria is only 11.

Please also remember her mom, dad, and little sister in your prayers.

Here is an update:  Gloria was evalutated by a new neurologist and it was horrible news.  Gloria is not in a coma anymore but has suffered a severe neurological injury.  Her likelihood of recovery is very small.  All we can do now is pray.

Please pray for a miracle.

Although I did not get any official updates today, Gloria was to have a G (Gastric) tube surgically implanted yesterday morning.  I am praying the surgery went well. 

Thank you all for your prayers -- they are helpful not only to Gloria, but to her family and schoolmates.

Gloria's surgery on Wednesday went well but there has been no change in her condition. Thank you all for your prayers!  They are greatly appreciated.

Angie, I am so sorry to read about Gloria. Please know that prayers will go out for her parents and family. It is so very difficult to watch someone suffer especially when it is one of your children and you feel so completely helpless to do anything about it. I just got an update and there had been no real change in Gloria's condition.  They are looking to move her from the hospital into a care facility.

Please continue to pray for a miracle -- Gloria deserves one!

There is no change in Gloria's condition.  It looks like she will be getting into a care facility for medically fragile children soon. 
 
Please continue to pray for Gloria and all who love her.  The candles and messages are comforting to her family. 
 
Miracles do happen and I am praying Gloria will get one.

I have not received any updates on Gloria.  It appears things are about the same.
 
Tomorrow is the first day of school and Gloria will be very missed.  Please pray for Gloria's miracle.
 
Also pray for Lillia, her little sister, who will be starting the 4th grade without her big sister there; the six grade that will have a huge void without Gloria's smiling face and energy; and for the 4 other diabetic children at St. Anthony's (including my 8 year old daughter.)
