Please light a candle for Gloria (group 4GL)

Please light a candle for Gloria. She has been in a coma for over 2 weeks caused by a stroke brought on by diabetic ketoacidosis. Gloria is only 11.
Please also remember her mom, dad, and little sister in your prayers.

Welcome to the forum, Angie! I am glad you found this forum even though under such difficult circumstances. Thank you for your concern for Gloria and her family. I'll be glad to light a candle for her and her worried family, and keep them in my prayers.

Here is an update: Gloria was evalutated by a new neurologist and it was horrible news. Gloria is not in a coma anymore but has suffered a severe neurological injury. Her likelihood of recovery is very small. All we can do now is pray.
Please pray for a miracle.

Although I did not get any official updates today, Gloria was to have a G (Gastric) tube surgically implanted yesterday morning. I am praying the surgery went well.
Thank you all for your prayers -- they are helpful not only to Gloria, but to her family and schoolmates.

Gloria's surgery on Wednesday went well but there has been no change in her condition. Thank you all for your prayers! They are greatly appreciated.
We are continuing to pray for a miracle!

Angie, I am so sorry to read about Gloria. Please know that prayers will go out for her parents and family. It is so very difficult to watch someone suffer especially when it is one of your children and you feel so completely helpless to do anything about it. Please send my love along with prayers for all.
