My candle . . . For Jerry - 8/20/2008 7:32 PM ( #1 )
Today is Jeremy (Jerry) 5th month since his soul left this earth.  I missed Jerry more than I thought possible.  Since school started this month it has been so hard.  Every time I hear the school bus outside I either feel as if I'm going to throw up or just loose my mind.  I miss the little argument we use to have in the morning regarding wrinkle clothes and him not wearing deodorant.  I miss the fight in the morning about him not wanting to comb his hair before he get to the bus.

I feel guilty because I'm still alive and my son who was only seventeen is no more.  What does a mother do at a time like this?

Genevieve, I am so sorry for your loss. It must be very difficult to lose your son, Jerry at such a young age. I am sure you have many wonderful memories. Happy and sad ones. I will say a prayer for you and your son. Bless you.

Dear Gen, your loss is still so fresh. Your grieving touches me deeply. There are special times like the beginning of a school year, holidays, birthdays and so on, when the loss is especially painful. I can't take your pain away, but as I mentioned in your other thread, there are several mothers in the forum who have experienced a similar loss and know what you go through. Everyone here would like to support you. Please, come back as often as you wish. It may help to just express your feelings in a safe place.

I will keep you in my prayers and light a candle for you and Jerry in the ALL group,
Much love and warm hugs,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Gen,
My heart goes out to you. I will also light a candle and keep you and Jeremy in my prayers. You ask what a mother can do at such a time of grief. The only "remedy" to lighten your grief that I know is doing some good to somebody who is just in need of it, from a simple smile to help in some form or other... May you find comfort in giving Love to others.

Blessings and warm hugs,
Juliana
