Suicide wounded families and their victims Prayer
-

Please think and pray for the victims of suicide and their families. I had always thought suicide was a serious matter but that could never torn apart my family, because of our values and life. I was truly wrong. Suicide is not a choice, nor a matter of only mental illness. Suicide is the last act of desperation, I believe. I didnt know my brother enough to talk to him into not committing it..All I know is that It leaves Wounded hearts forever, hurt families and shattered thoughts and faith. It's not until Eric passed that I learnt that suicide, hence depression and despair, kills every 30 minutes. My prayers are for all the families left behind. Please join me in this rememberance of those taken by this tragedy and the left behind. They are children of God. May they have found Peace. May their families and siblings have found relief and peaceful rememberance.

Dear Angelique, I join you in prayers for the "left behinds" I have a very good friend who lost her husband to suicide and after 21 years has not got over it properly. It does indeed shatter lives. Please know though, that however well you know someone and however close you are to them, you cannot know everything about them, or see into their minds, and you certainly can't stop someone taking their life if that is their intention. I believe your Brother is still very close to you and would not like to think that his actions are stopping you living your life. My heart goes out to you and all who are affected by suicide. I will light a candle for you, your brother and all the "left behinds" in the 'All' group. Jude

Dear Ange, I remember reading about your brother Eric in a previous thread. My heart goes out to you as you are experiencing the effects this is having on you and your family. Eric is at peace now and close to you, but this does not take the pain away. Much has been said about all this when you first told us about him. This experience has increased your empathy for other families going through this ordeal. You so generously share your concern. Thank you! I'll keep Eric, you and your family, and all affected families in my prayer, and light a candle in the ALL group. Wishing you comfort and peace, Much love and warm hugs, Edda

Suicide in the family has hurt me too, pain doesn´t finish over twelfe years. I know, that my doughter is in peace, but peace comes not into my heart. Suicide is the last way, if somebody cannot get close to this world, because people attack the other, exclude them, attack them with words, maltread them, abuse them... It seems, suicide is the way to flee from all of that, to get peace and the hope, that god will forgive. I know exactly, how you feel, and I hope, that you can free yourself, what you could have done for your brother Eric. Sometimes we cannot help, we cannot change the pain from people we love, sometimes, we can do nothing although we gave the best we could. I wish you the best and I will pray, for him, you and your family. Very sad, I.B.
If you want to know something about someone, listen to your heart.

Thank you all so much for your compassion, faith, caring and love. This is such a lovely thing to see that, since suicide is so often mistaken as a lack of faith, courage and strenght. This is so much wrong. Along with his life, my brother has taught me so many insighftful facts, such as life is short but meaningful. I celebrate it every day by taking each step carefully with its every meaning. Thank you for your prayers and faith on that painful topic. Thank you for this site.

Dear Angelique, I had been having a tough morning, missing my son, when I read your most recent post. What an inspiration you are. I imagine your brother must be smiling on you from the other side. Reading your few words will, I think, help me get through my morning by, hopefully, "taking each step carefully with its every meaning." Peace, Donna

Dear Donna, we had not heard from you for a while. I am sorry that you are having a hard time today. Some days are better and others worse. I am so glad that you found inspiration in Ange's words. It is one day at a time. I do hope you will come back and meet other mothers who have joined this cyber-family who understand your pain. I will light a candle for your in the ALL group. Wishing you peace and comfort, Much love, Edda
