Dear Leanda, I will light a candle for all those especially hard hit by the current financial situation. We all need to pray for wisdom in the choices we make, courage and hope. I suspect people who never lacked anything may have a harder time coping than those who know how to manage on little. We are especially mindful of those in real need.

Dear Edda, you are so right about us needing to be worried. I do believe that we need to think about our future and all that lies in it. I believe that we also need to pray that God will help us. Thanks for the post.

its a time where we need to be there for each other sharing even a smile because a smile lightens the load.  it is a time to give what we can to food banks.  its a time to pray more if we are among those who pray.  its a time to live with the opportunity to constantly put our trust in God.  the pastor at church yesterday noted that on one side of the dollar bill it says we trust in God.  that helps me put it into perspective.  yes, i'm scared of what the future will bring, but God is perhaps asking humankind to let go of its dependence on money and materialism.  i know i have a lot of lessons to learn in that area.
