Please light a canle for all the people in the world who are hurting. - 10/20/2008 5:29 PM ( #1 )
Please light a candle for all the people in the world who are hurting. Life is full of conflict. Anyone can be upset and hurting. May we all be sensitive to the world around us and try to notice and help the people who may be or are hurting around us. I am going to light a cangle in the "all" group for this.

Dear Joya, I'll join you in lighting a candle for all the suffering people around the world. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed when I think of people starving, without shelter and inadequatae medical care, of the victims of wars that have turned friends into enemies, their wounds and disabilities. The list is so very long ... I can do only my only little bit in trying to help. Prayer and sending out positive energy are ways to help.

Wishing you better health,
MUch love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Joya,
Thank you for your thoughtful post. I think if we have been hurt ourselves, it helps us to be more aware of others' pain.

Thank you Mamaluvskids, for you prayerful message. It is so easy to get caught up in our own little lives and forget that other people are suffering and in pain. I think that is one reason why I like coming to this site. It keeps me in touch with the plight of others, and makes me grateful for what I have . . .
Thanks again. I will join you in lighting a candle.

I am joining all of you. When I feel blessed I am always reminded of others who are suffering. Yes, let us pray for them!

I will light a candle today in the All group too, for light to shine. There are a lot of people out in the world hurting, so many of them on the forum. I am struck though with the humanity and the love here and know it will shine bright in the world, like our candles do, so will blow the light from the candle into the world for a brighter future and a happier now for them all.
Thank you for placing this posting! Godlvoe

Being Grateful - 10/30/2008 7:57 PM ( #9 )
In 2006 life became unberable for me, my marriage was falling apart, my health detoriated with hemorrage. I turned to God and started to focus on the positive aspects of my life. I spent a year writing everything that I was grateful for, that is how MY GRATEFUL BOOK came to be. I want to help others specially others to know that in the mist of every issues and lost they will be alright.

Thanks to everyone that has kept this post still going. I have been trying everyday to keep a candle lighted in the all group for the people out there that are hurting. Angie, I'm so glad that you were able to see the great things that you were grateful for in the mist of your life falling apart. Sometimes when are lives are falling apart it is so hard to see how many thigs that we are grateful for.

Dear Angie . . .
I am so sorry that you have suffered so . . .
perhaps it is through your suffering that you have found the true meaning of life. Your pain has brought you to a place where you can help people through theirs. This is a beautiful, though hard-earned gift.
I, like you keep a gratitude journal every day, and it has made all the difference in the world.
Welcome to the forum Angie . . . I hope you will return often and share your story
with love . . .
