it is unimaginable that people are both victims and perpetrators of awful crimes.  and i can't imagine the devestating grief it must bring to the families of those who have had to endure things like this.  i will include her when i light today's candle.

and is finally free . . .

Part of my post for Natalee Missing 47 Months

'A very special young woman was brought to us and with her she carried a message.  That message was contained within a poem written by her in her Journal that her Mother, Beth, shared with us.  That message was, "In life, love must be the base.   We must cherish every face."  What that means to me is that the real message she was proclaiming is that all life is precious and has meaning - all life is valued and each person has a meaning and worth.  We must always look within a person to discover them, not try to base our determination on physical attributes.  And, we must base our life on love, for love, not hate, conquers all.

I wish that message could be read or heard by everyone, everywhere and understood, for this world would be such a better place.  She created a legacy that will live on with us - with you and me - forever, a legacy that inspires faith, great hope and love.'

Please don't let the Candle of Hope be extinguished.
