Being Grateful - 10/30/2008 8:01 PM
In 2006 life became unberable for me, my marriage was falling apart, my health detoriated with hemorrage. I turned to God and started to focus on the positive aspects of my life. I spent a year writing everything that I was grateful for, that is how MY GRATEFUL BOOK came to be. I want to help others to know that in the mist of the issues and lost, they will be alright.

Thank you so much for telling us your story, it prompts me to "be grateful" for. I am going to spend a lot of next week focussing on that. Thank you for writing, and welcome to the forum!

Hello Angie . . .
I posted this message for you yesterday, but somehow it ended up on a different thread . . .
Dear Angie . . .
I am so sorry that you have suffered so . . .
perhaps it is through your suffering that you have found the true meaning of life. Your pain has brought you to a place where you can help people through theirs. This is a beautiful, though hard-earned gift.
I, like you keep a gratitude journal every day, and it has made all the difference in the world.
Welcome to the forum Angie . . . I hope you will return often and share your story
with love . . .

thanks to all who replied to me with information and welcomes!  I am so grateful sometimes I just about burst with the joy of knowing how much beauty has been put into my life. sure sometimes things are hard, but I try very much to keep things in perspective. I also try to be an optimistic person.

I wanted to share how I found this forum but will do so on a different thread. This one is meant for the candles so I will say; It is so lovely to find a special website to light candles online. I sent the two I lit yesterday to two special friends and I really felt gratitude when I did so!

I will post my story of how I found the website now. it will be under Grateful Living Practice: Videos that are uplifting

An attitude of gratitude washes away negativity and purifies your soul.
It awakens your love toward God as you acknowledge that you are His child. Thank Him that He gives you every good and perfect gift.(Jas. 1: 17
