Lyrics to my last post... Joy at the start Fear in the journey Joy in the coming home A part of the heart Gets lost in the learning Somewhere along the road. Along the road Your path may wander A pilgrims faith may fail Absence makes the heart grow stronger Darkness obscures the trail. Cursing the quest Courting disaster Measureless nights forebode Moments of rest Glimpses of laughter Are treasured along the road. Along the road Your steps may tumble Your thoughts may start to stray But through it all a heart held humble Levels and lights your way. Joy at the start Fear in the journey Joy in the coming home A part of the heart Gets lost in the learning Somewhere along the road Somewhere along the road Somewhere along the road. Dan Fogelberg I think the "part of the heart that gets lost in the journey" is the part that we are not. Like the shell or dead skin left behind as we enter the beautiful unknown. We might weep for it as a lost little child, but it is not truly who we are. I think we love it and then we let it go with love . . . sparrow

Dear Sparrow, I have been thinking a lot lately about coming from our hearts, and whether or not we are in our hearts, or a long way removed etc. Synchronicity again! Jude

Dear Sparrow, Thank you for posting the words to "your" song expressing the way we move along with all the little side trips our hearts take. I still have a dial-up internet connection and can't listen to songs or view videos in a coherent manner. Much love, Edda

While working on Christmas gifts, I've been listening to music and heard this song that I haven't heard for a long time. I can physically feel my heart expand with love, and tears well up in my eyes when I listen to it and I had to stop and come in to share it with you. Here is a link . . . The song is "I Have a Dream" sung by Nana Mouskouri . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HxBC_jvl-k For those who are unable to hear it I give you the lyrics, although part of its' beauty is in the the music . . . window.google_render_ad(); I have a dream, a song to sing To help me cope with anything If you see the wonder Of a fairy tale You can take the future Even if you you fail I believe in angels Something good in everything I see I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream I have a dream I have a dream, a fantaisy To help me through reality And my destination Makes it worth the while Pushing through the darkness Still another mile I believe in angels Something good in eveything I see I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream I have a dream I'll cross the stream I have a dream ad_text = 'I Have A Dream'; I have a dream, a song to sing To help me cope with anything If you see the wonder Of a fairy tale You can take the future Even if you fail I believe in angels Something good in eveything I see I believe in angels When I know the time is right for me I'll cross the stream I have a dream I'll cross the stream I have a dream sparrow

Dear Sparrow Can I add this song as it never fails to reach out to me. Sandraxx http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IrMAX7Ex0tU "PRECIOUS CHILD" Words and Music by Karen Taylor-Good In my dreams, you are alive and well Precious child, precious child In my mind, I see you clear as a bell Precious child, precious child In my soul, there is a hole That can never be filled But in my heart, there is hope 'Cause you are with me still In my heart, you live on Always there never gone Precious child, you left too soon Tho' it may be true that we're apart You will live forever... in my heart In my plans, I was the first to leave Precious child, precious child But in this world, I was left here to grieve Precious child, my precious child In my soul, there is a hole That can never be filled But in my heart there is hope And you are with me still In my heart you live on Always there, never gone Precious child, you left too soon, Tho' it may be true that we're apart You will live forever... in my heart God knows I want to hold you, See you, touch you And maybe there's a heaven And someday I will again Please know you are not forgotten until then In my heart you live on Always there never gone Precious child, you left too soon Tho' it may be true that we're apart You will live forever... in my heart

Thank you Sandra, for posting your song . . . it very beautiful and so full of love. ps. We will all cross the stream someday Dear Jude . . . I never heard the Abba version until I saw "Mama Mia" this summer. If you can forgive the movie's several flaws this movie is so very uplifting, and full of life and love, especially to us ladies with a few years on us. I laughed and I cried, and came home and played my CD of "I Have a Dream" so that the sound carried outside my window into the August afternoon. My elderly gentleman upstairs later asked me if that was me he heard singing . . . I wish. with love . . . sparrow

Dear Sandra . . . You started me on a youtube journey with your video post. This is where I ended up twenty minutes later . . . with Louis Armstrong http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Jo29zxDaQ4&feature=related I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world. I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself what a wonderful world. The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you. I hear babies crying, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know And I think to myself what a wonderful world Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world. If we are unable to see what a wonderful world we live in we have not truly opened our eyes with love . . . sparrow

Sparrow, you are so very right. I think we forget sometimes that there are still good things in the world we live in though alot of times all that is shown on the TV is negative. May each of us find what a wonderful world we still live in.... As far as that song... that is one of my favorites!!!!!
"LIFE IS NOT MEASURED IN THE BREATHS WE TAKE, IT IS MEASURED IN HOW MANY MOMENTS THAT TAKE OUR BREATH AWAY!"

Thank you Sparrow, I do also agree with what you and others have said. I believe that we come to heal the soul and/or to progress. Come into these human forms which are so different from who we are. Who we are, I consider to be the true heart. We can shed the human condition, but never the true essence of who we are. this is, I believe, held within the heart. This is what I have been thinking about lately : The body is totally convinced that death is the end. Because when the soul is done with an incarnation, it does shed the body. The body does cease to function as it did. But the soul and spirit know that this earth experience is an opportunity to heal and progress. And then goes back to real life when it sheds the human form. I think it gets a bit challenging because the body / ego, has a voice as does the soul / spirit. Two things going on. The fears of the body and the wisdom of the soul. anyway those are a few of my thoughts. Maybe muddled. I wanted to share with you a song on youtube. Probably most of you have heard it before. But I do love the illustrations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcXtHXaaGuc sending light and love to all the light and love here, liliwings ps I cry whenever I hear that song by Louis Armstrong

Thank you liliwings, for the song. I don't think you sounded muddled up. Your words speak to me too, and resonate with what lives in my heart as well. And it can be challenging too because many of us were raised to believe that if we didn't believe in ONE particular thing we would burn in hell for eternity. When you are considering "eternity" it is hard to give up even the token of a restrictive belief. I appreciate so much, your sharing of these thoughts with love . . . sparrow

Thank you Sandra for telling me about your child. Your unimaginable loss is heaven's very beautiful gain, of course. I am glad you now know that you are special. That is an important truth. A truth that will never change. Even if, or when, you forget. I am sending blessings and love to you. Sparrow, shedding the religious programming surely is a challenge. The programming was designed to keep people from their truth, their power. Or this is what I believe. God has lists, we will burn in hell for our sins. God and Jesus judge. Or my personal favorite, Jesus was no one special. I was raised Jewish. I think so many are here on earth at this time are transforming all of this as we find our way back to truth. By the way, I gave my "children of the heart" the tape of Shaina Noll's song "How could anyone ever tell you you are anything less than beautiful." The song which is also on the link above. The "children of my heart" are my beautiful sweethearts who have Multiple personality disorder. I met them 6 1/2 years ago. I became "mommy" to them at some point within that first year. The little 5 year old "main little alter" found Shaina Noll's email address. She wrote to her thanking her because her song helps the little one, and others, to calm down when things are too painful. Little MPD alters usually write in a way that is almost impossible to understand unless someone has had experience doing so. Shaina sent back a beautiful and loving email. She had totally understood my sweetheart's words and responded with love. I then emailed Shaina thanking her. I asked her how she could have read it. She emailed me back saying that she, through her music, had come to have communication with people who live with MPD. She said she learned much from them, including how to read the spelling of little alters. In short, Shaina Noll is truely from the heart. My huge gratitude to everyone here. It means more to me than you can know, to read your expressions from the heart. (fears and pain also) to be in your company. thank you. I am sending light and love and gratitude, liliwings

I agree dear liliwings, that there is a shift occuring. Someone on the forum said awhile back, that she has a whole new measure of respect for Jesus, since taking her leave of organized religion. The same has happened for me . . . Don't get me wrong . . . I believe that spiritual community is important. It nourishes us and inspires growth. There is so much truth in religious teachings, but a lot of it has gotten twisted by those who have sought to use scripture to gain power. It can happen anywhere, in any religion or teaching . . . and of course spiritual community is not exempt either. I think the answer is to be true to what our own hearts tell us, for God lives there. Thank you also dear liliwings for sharing the children of your heart with us . . . it is an amazing thing that you can 'see' and know them so well Blessings to all of you with much love . . . sparrow
