How do I start a candle group? (...and other questions...) - 3/1/2007 9:15 AM ( #1 )
A recent improvement in our Light a Candle feature allows a group of people to
light candles for a common purpose, whether it's for a cause such as peace
in a war-torn country, for a single person who may be ill, or to
celebrate a joyous occasion. Read more about Candle Groups.

Creating a group is easy: during the ritual, when you come to the page
where you type in your message, you will see at the bottom of the page, a
box to write the group's name or initials in. It says right there: "To
associate your candle with a candle group, or to start a new group, enter
a group initial." So type in up to 5 letters for your group, click on
"Continue," and you have created a group!

Others can go the the "Search" link at the top of the Candles page and
type in your group name to find all the candles lit for that shared
concern, and then light their own candle if they choose to do so.

After you have started a group, you can come to this forum to let others
know the name of the group, and why you have created it. If you want, you
can communicate with others in the forum who have lit candles in the group
as well.

How do I make a link to my candle group? - 3/1/2007 9:17 AM ( #2 )
In order to add a link to your candle group in your posting,

1.  Highlight the text in your message, perhaps the name of your group, that will act as the link to your group
2.  Find your group in the candles, and copy the url from that page.
3.  Click on the icon from the task bar that looks like the earth with chain links on it.
4.  Paste the url you copied in the box that comes up.

I hope that helps!
