Dear Sarah,

I just lost my mom on November 1, 2008.  Her name just happened to be Sophie.  She is so fresh on my mind and I miss her so much.  Call me crazy, I speak to her each night when I go to sleep.  Tonight, I will ask her to watch over your Sophie.  I am on my way to light a candle.

Dear Joni, I so very sorry for the loss of your mother! You had asked earlier for prayers for her since her health was rapidly declining. I am glad you feel close to her and can talk to her. I will light a candle in her memory in the ALL group.

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Sarah, I just clicked on the link you provided and found the picture of your lovely daughter and her story. What a brave giirl! You are providing as normal a life for her as her limitations permit. I feel for her as she longs to do the things other little girls can do. She can probably outshine them in other ways that don't require physical strength.

I'll keep her and you in my prayers,
Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Sarah,

I will join my friends at your candle group SOPH and keep warm thoughts going for Sophia. I know how difficult it is to have an ill child, and my prayers are with you too. I hope very hard that you get renewed strength everyday, both your daughter and you (and other loved ones too!)

I welcome you to the forum as well, and I do hope you will grace us with updates once in awhile too!

thanks for letting us know about Sophia....

with warm regards,
Karen

 Dear joanzze -

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your mom only 2 short weeks ago! I wish I could reach out and give you a hug right now....Please know that I care, I have lost both parents, but it was awhile ago for me.

I wanted to tell you that it is not crazy, in my opinion, to talk to your mom every night. I think it is healing, natural and more common than you might think. I believe her spirit can hear you. And I believe very strongly that there is no wrong way to grieve.

I hope over time that things ease a little bit at a time regarding your pain.

Sincerely,
Karen

Dear Joni,
I'm so sorry about your mom. It's so hard to lose your mother - I remember it so well, even though I lost mine 21 years ago. I think it's lovely that you talk to her every night, and I'm sure it comforts her as well as you, because I'm sure she didn't want to leave you.

Hugs and Love to you, Jude

Dear Joni . . .
I am so sorry to hear of the recent loss of your mother. Like Edda, I went back and looked at some posts from earlier this year, and saw that you had been caring for her . . . what a gift you have given her. I hope that this knowledge helps lift the grief a little. When my father died a few years ago, we took care of him at home . . . it felt to all of us in the family that we were encased in a beautiful shimmering cocoon of love separate from the outside world of petty cares and complaints. It was a very special, life-changing time for me, and although I have grieved his loss, I almost feel sometimes that he is closer to me now than he was in life.
Thank you for returning to the forum and sharing your love and compassion
with love . . .

Dear Sarah . . .
I like the others, welcome you dear, to the forum. I have visited your web site and read the beautiful story you have shared about the struggles and triumphs of your precious little daughter Sophie. She truly is a beautiful child inside and out. Any time you have with her is a blessing that will enrich your life always.
Hoping you will return and share some of this journey with us.
I light a candle for Sophie and hold you and your family close to my heart
with much love . . .
