Please listen to this radio interview with John Holland.  I have learned something new and now I know just how they kill horses for slaughter in Mexico.  I am so disgusted.  We must stop horse slaughter and the transport of them for slaughter in the USA now. 
 
Call your congressmen and ask your Senators to cosponsor S. 311 and your Representatives to cosponsor HR 503.
 
After you listen to this interview there will be no doubt in your mind, horse slaughter for human consumption must end now.

Susan, I watched a major portion of this disturbing interview. Thank you for drawing our attention to this abuse. While cultures differ in what meats are acceptable for consumption, such cruelty to animals should not be acceptable anywhere. This sickening treatment of horses is scandalous and should not be supported directly or indirectly.

Thank you Edda, I totally agree.  And consider that Americans aren't eating our own horses, so if 80% of Americans polled don't want horse slaughter in America why should we tolerate other countries coming here to slaughter our horses and taking their flesh overseas, tariff free, not paying corporate tax here but to their own country where they are incorporated?  How does the USA benefit in anyway?  Our horses are stolen, they are brutally slaughtered, our wild horses are brutally slaughtered, the race horses which in many cases have earned their owners over $100,000 are also slaughtered, sometimes with their racing plates still on, they are sent to the slaughterhouse, of course that means the drugs are still in their system. 
 
The slaughterhouse in IL was caught dumping the waste directly into the stream behind their slaughter plant.  As T Boone Pickens testified in Congress, this is America's Dirty Little Secret.
