Dear Isabella, home page of gratefulness.org and click on the box with the red candles, it will bring up the light a candle page, go to the bottom of the page and click on the word 'BEGIN'. On the next page at the bottom, click on the word "continue". Each page will have a word in REDat the bottom that will lead you to a page where some candles are lit and some are not. Click on a candle that is not lit. Then to continue on, again click on the RED word at the bottom. this will lead you to the page where you can type in your message in the large box, your initials in the middle box, and the name you want to use if you want to start a candle group. You can then select your country, state/city, and type your initials. This will lead you to the page to light the candle. Again follow the RED word on the bottom by clicking on it. After the candle is lit, if you want to send it to a friend, click on the word "YES" This will bring up a page where you will need to enter the email address of the person you want to send it to, then enter your own email address. If you also want to enter a message in the large box, you may, or just click on the words "SEND MESSAGE" and your friend will get the candle. The candle will stay lit for 48 hours. If you want to light more candles in that particular group, the next time you come, Do the initial steps and when you come to the page with some candles lit and some not, go to the top and click on the word "search" and then enter the name you chose for your group in the "group search box" and click on the RED WORDS "Group search" This allow you to light more candles in the group you started. If you wait more than 48 hours to light another candle, you will have to start the whole process again. I hope this makes it a little more clear.
Shalom(May you be at peace in Body, Mind,& Spirit.) I'menuff

Isabella, Betty has given you excellent instructions. It just occurred to me that you might be more comfortable going through the process in another language. There is a whole list of available languages from which you can choose by clicking on it. Wishing you success, Edda

Hi, Imenuff! I did it so often, and it goes on. But some days, like today: I did the steps still to "Candle the light", than: no steps more on the pc to see, just: back. that´ s the problem... thank you of an advice, again That´s it:After the candle is lit, if you want to send it to a friend, click on the word "YES" This will bring up a page where you will need to enter the email address - no yes or no buttom...:( Maybe I did too much candles at night?

my pray, for today, when I candle the lit. Dear God, something is strong, could cry, all the time, alone... Look at me and give me peace, help me out, of this crises. Guard my children for badness, take away their sadness. Help to make the world full of peace, prevent the people to get more tolerance, give, I beg you, all of us a chance...

Isabella, Is your prayer about what is happening to you and your children now? I will light a candle for you in the 'ALL' group. To find it, click on Search' at the top left corner of the candle pages, and type ALL where it says 'Group Search' Good luck! Keep coming back. Love, Jude

Isabella, Please don't worry about your English! I went to your web page and used an online translator to give me a sense of what is posted. Your books that you have written and published, your work for abused children all tell us that you have so very much wisdom to share with all of us. Please continue to post in spite of the difficulties you might have. There is so much we can learn from you. I am grateful you found this website. May you have a blessed day and rest of the week.

Dear Isabella, I went to your homepage late last night and started reading. I found your beautiful and touching tributes, in prose and poetry, to lovely Sylvia. Am I correct in my impression that she was your daughter? I am so deeply sorry for the loss to all who loved her. It helps me to understand the prayer you posted. My heart goes out to all who miss her! I lit a candle in the ALL group for you last night. I'll keep you in my heart and prayers. I will go back to your homepage later to read more of your writings. On a much lighter note, your profile gives the year of your birth as 1912! I was impressed that someone of so many years could navigate the internet. Then I discovered on your homepage that you are considerably younger than that! Wishing you comfort and peace, Much love, Edda

Dear friends, Please allow me to say a few words to Isabella in German, her mother-tongue. (I have already done so on another thread, but cannot find the post any more.) Juliana _____________________________ Speak Peace in a World of Conflict

Dear Isabella, I am so sorry about your daughter and all those other daughters and children like her who have met similar circumstances. I ask your forgiveness for any times that a post I make may seem to offend. Although my both my parents spoke German, I know hardly any. I admire your courage and perseverance in learning a new language that is not your mother tongue. Please know that prayers and candles go out for your daughter and all children who have experienced similar pain and for their parents who live with such unimaginable pain over what has happened to the children whom they borne. May you be give comfort and peace by the Holy One who not only has the greatest understanding of your pain but walks with you through it. With much love and prayers, Betty

Dear Isabella, No, I'm not from Austria, I live in the UK. You are doing very well navigating the website. I know I would not be able to do anything if it was in your language, which is shameful really. I know no other language than English. I will light a candle for you and your daugher in the 'All' group. Love, Jude

(For all my English-speaking friends: I am sure you´ll understand that I´d like to reassure Isabella in her and my mother-tongue! Thank you.) Fühl Dich verstanden und umarmt von Juliana ____________________________________________ Sprechen wir vom Frieden in einer Welt der Konflikte

Dear Isabella, I would like to second what Juliana says. This is a safe place where you can feel at home and accepted. I have read more in your home page and continue to be touched by the beauty of your words and the depth of your feelings. If you would ever like to share some of your writing in English I would be happy to try to translate it for you. I grew up in Bad Voeslau but have now lived in this country for many years. Since my husband is from Upper Silesia (now Poland) we speak German at home. In this way I live in two languages! When I started to use English in every day life I made plenty of mistakes and learned to laugh at myself. The English taught in school did not include mathmatics, terms for kitchen utensils, etc. So don't ever worry about not using the right words or grammar! I lit another candle for you and your daughter and will keep you in my prayers. Ein schoenes, besinnliches Wochenende wuenscht von Herzen mit lieben Gruessen aus Chicago, Edda Edda

Dear Isabella, sometimes when I can't light a candle I have exceeded the limit, 24 in a day, 100 per week. Occasionally candles don't light up. The best thing is to wait and try again. Your intention counts, I have been told! Edda

Written for qp in remembrence of her passing; On a windy night as the moon crosses the starry filled sky, a spirit leaves her body and begins the journey to eternity. Each person can choose an animal to accompany them on this journey and each spirit has one last wish. This spirit chooses a white owl and chooses to circle the earth and say good by to the five elements. The journey begins heading ever eastward toward the never ending sunset. She puts her hand toward the setting sun and felt the last bit of heat and smiled while her soul was warmed for the last time. Looking downward she and the owl swoop to the earth and fills her hand with the sand that she so enjoyed and her soul was filled with loving memories of friends. Heading toward the water she felt the mist and remembered all the tears shed in her life. She then pointed upward and the owl headed to her final resting place and as she flew on the winds of time and space she felt such total peace and love. When the sky ran out and nothing but stars were left her soul became numerous bright lights that twinkled amongst the stars in the universe and her soul then took its rightful place. She shines forever on the earth and sees all. enjoy eternity qp...

I love lighting a candle, especially as it's something I can do at any time of the day or night. I remember lighting candles as a child with my grandmother, and it all seemed so mysterious and magical. Now it's way of praying and often of giving thanks as well as praying for someone else or petitioning. Thank you so much for having this here.
The ordinary does not exist.

Dear 'Chloe' look at the top of this page and click on page 1 In the first post at the very top of the page is a link to the candles. You can just light a candle there or you can start your own candle group by putting a 5 letter name in the little box at the bottom where it says "To associate your candle with a candle group, or to start a new group, enter a group initial, otherwise, leave blank" I hope this helps, Jude

I too, would like to welcome you to the forum, dear Ann . . . The format has recently changed here, and many of us are technology-challenged. Even though you were not able to post it in the little picture frame, I was able to see your beautiful picture on your profile. I hope that someone will eventually be able to help us all . . . we do have one or two wizards here. In any case I do hope you won't lose heart and will return to share your journey with love . . . sparrow
