it´s hard to believe, that words we hear
are true,
and that friendship or love
is trustworthy.
Many reasons can block the
eyes to see clear.
One of my best friends in my
life, have sent me one morning
this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vY1peG8gHQ
and I thought, it´s one of the
greatest gift I´ve got.

And now, I am miles away
.....

love I.
If you want to know something about someone, listen to your heart.

Thank you, Isabella, for sharing this gift with everyone here. I am sure it is a beautiful song, but my dial-up connection won't let me listen to it. Does anyone have the words?

It is difficult for many to believe that they are truly loved for who they are without strings attached, especially after painful experiences. For some the problem started early in life, when they never experienced unconditional love. And yet it is worth taking a chance and make this first step trusting....

Much love,
Edda

When you're down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up, even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring , summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've got a friend.

If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, Spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you.
Well they'll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don't you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don't you know that,
Winter Spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you've got to do is call.
Lord, I'll be there, yes I will.
You've got a friend.
You've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
You've got a friend.

Buttington, thank you, exact.
And exact these words, where lied on me.
So, how can we trust in anyone?
I always try to believe, and its always the same realization...

Can somebody tell me, whats the reason that people many times act in a way and don´t show his real face? Why? I don´t beg for some good words, or for contacts, (because I h a v e family and friends too). Adn what´s the reason, that people have interest in others, and steal the trust of others, to make after that jokes, or to speak wrong about them? or to steal and break hearts? or to do many other things - my English is not so good, to make all the questions I have.

Life is terrible, sometimes.
I.

Thank you, Jude, for supplying the text so quickly!

Dear Isabella, I now understand that the gift was not for real! I am sorry that you have been disappointed in friendship. The word "friend" is often used so casually. We end up talking about friends, best friends, and special friends. Some friendships cannot stand the test of difficult times. It is sad, when socalled friendships are abused in ways you describe.
True friendship is rare but all the more precious! I think we are lucky if we receive this gift a few times in our lives. Still, I do think it is worth taking the risk realizing we might be disappointed. It is probably best to start slowly and let the relationship grow into a friendship. Some, unfortunately, don't take friendships as seriously as others. There may be a discrepancy in commitment. I myself don't believe most people set out to hurt others but don't know what a real friendship is.

Much love,
Edda

Peace and joy!

Dear Isabella,
I agree with Edda that true friendship is rare and that some friendships cannot stand the test of difficult times.I think that we all experienced this . In "old times" Seneca said:
Amicos res secundae parant, adversae probant. Happiness creates friends but difficult time cheks them. (Edda would translate this better,my English is not so good.)So,we are not so much different from our grand-grand-parents.It is something in human`s nature.
Best regards to all,

Buba,Goran`s mom

Dear Buba and Isabella,
Buba, another way of saying this is "fair-weather friends" meaning some people will be 'friends' with you when things are going well, but as soon as things get difficult...the 'friends' leave. These are not TRUE friends. As has already been said, real friendship is rare in our lives, and to be cherished.

Isabella, I too have been let down like you by people I trusted, as have we all I suspect. But, as Edda says, we have to keep trusting that most people are trustworthy. A friend once shocked me by saying that the only person we can truly trust is ourselves. There is some truth in that, as we need to develop and trust our intuition in order to recognise those who are going to be less trustworthy, but I still believe we have to take the risk and be open to others....perhaps with a little guardedness until we feel we can be close with them.

To Love is always a risk.........Love anyway. And Love yourself first.

Much Love, Jude
