The Royal Marines and the young boy - 12/13/2008 4:53 PM ( #1 )
My prayers go out today for the 3 British Royal Marines killed in Afghanistan today by a young 13 year old bomber...
Prayers for comfort for all the families involved and that hopefully the New President will bring in peace for the New Year. I have lit a candle for them in the All group...
with love and light

Gina, I join you in prayer for the 3 men killed, and also that children will not be involved in fighting wars! Awful.

Yes, thanks Jude, I did mean to write a candle for the marines and for the young bomber, if anyone reads my candle message they will see I did include the  young lad. It is horrible cos no one knows if someone talked him into this, or someone detonated it and the lad didn't know. Whether he knew, or not, it is so awful. Such a waste of life on all sides.
Thanks Jude.

Dear Gina,

I will join you in prayer for the three Marines, their families, and the young boy who caused their death.
When I offer a petition in church for the victims of violence I always add and the perpetrators. We don't know who or what would have induced him to such an act.

I'l light a candle in the All Group.

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dearest Gina

I was very sad to hear this news, everyday someone around the world is killed and it's heartbreaking.

I was listening to the radio this morning and one man said that these 'people' who train other's to kill ,brainwash them. They even went on to say that they are using handicapped children as they will go happily not knowing they they are going to be killed along with other's.

My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one,it really does.

Thank you Gina, for your post.
I was just saying on another thread that it is a sad world that is not safe for children . . . the child who killed these soldiers would never have done this without the evil influences of war.
I too, pray (and hope) that our new president can help to bring about important change in consciousness that is needed.

Another Royal Marine lost his life yesterday, Christmas Eve,  in Afganistan. Christmas for his family will never be the same. I am lighting a candle in "ARMY" group.  The Royal Marines have been badly hit this tour.. They are one of the units over here that really do earn their title "Royal Marine" and the other army divisions look up to them.  Prayers to that Obama can bring a peaceful settlement to this crisis. I know this is not a political forum... such young men loosing lives. May love and light shine bright and bring peace to Afghanistan in 2009. May Obama be blessed with a wisdom beyond his years and human capabilities to sort this quickly and
pernamently.

Amen from me as well, Gina . . .
war is a terrible and out-of-date way of dealing with enmity.
It is past time for this to become apparent to all.
I have a bumper sticker in my car window that says, "war is not the answer" . . . such a terrible waste of precious life
Thank you for posting this . . .
