IN LOVING MEMORY OF JESSICA TURNER - 12/24/2008 12:03 PM ( #1 )
My daughter Jessica was murdered 13 years ago by someone that we both loved very much (my husband her step-father).  I am so grateful that I was given the link to this site.  It sat in my email as I was in the hospital.. I opened it today I take it as  kind of a gift from God, seeing that I light a candle near Jessica's photo every morning on Christmas eve.And it usually stays lit for three days.  I would like to thank you for giving me the chance to honor her memory here.

Dearest Debbie,
Welcome to the forum Debbie. I am so sad to hear about your daughter Jessica. I will light a candle for her and also for you.
Christmas is such a difficult time, it is one of those hurdles isn't it when you loose someone, along with their birthday, and the anniversary of their passing, especially when that someone has been taken in such a way. My heart goes out to you...
I am very fond of the name Jessica. You are both in my prayers tonight.
with love and light

Dearest Debbie,

I, too, would like to welcome you to this forum. My heart goes out to you at this time when there is so much celebrating around you, and you may not feel like joining in. If you read some of the threads you will discover that you are not alone. There are other mothers who lost children and understand your grief.

I'll light a candle for Jessica in the ALL group. You might want to start a special group for her. You'll find the instructions in the top threads.

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear, dear Debbie . . .
I do not believe it was an accident that you found this forum . . . I too, would like to welcome you.
There is another thread
http://my.gratefulness.org/m_20541/tm.htm
that talks about unexpected death of a loved one. You might find it helpful. I am so sorry for the terrible loss you have experienced . . . not only the loss of a beautiful daughter, but a husband who you say that you loved very much as well. This kind of grief is a terrible burden.
I hope so much that you will return, and read some of the postings . . . sharing our sorrows helps us all to heal.
I hold you close to my heart, and light a candle for you, and in honour of Jessica
with much love for you . . .
