WOW. I havent been here in awhile and I just wanted to say Id like to start a disciplined 'practice' of connecting more with 'positive minded' people on the net.(like you all!)
 
My EGO personality sometimes gets caught in the other aspects of the net that DONT bring me peace.
 
Starting with writing my daily Gratitude Journal here (if I can) :) I do write a daily gratitude list in my journal every day but I think to REINFORCE things for the New Year Id love to write it here also.

GRATITUDE
 
1. I am healthy.
2. My 4 cats are happy and healthy and warm and safe.
3. My art business has sustained me for yet another year. Miraculous!
4. Ive lost 41 lbs and am not FAT anymore! Thanks to Atkins and my own discipline.
5. My BF Bob has been sent to me by God and is a blessing.
6. My musical and artistic talents--which are now being used for the highest good in the world.
7. My newfound inspiration with my music career( I let it go for about 7 years).
8. THe house I live in which is comfortable and perfect.
9. My art gallery/studio (where I go daily and has been an amazing miracle in my lfie).
10. My friends and family.
 
All is well.

Actually another thing I did since 'seeing' you all is I opened my own theater/cabaret. It has been one of my dreams all of my life.
 
I mightve told you all I used to sing for a living, but then got burned out..had a bit of a nervous breakdown in 1996...and then decided I wanted to sing again recently!
 
My bf literally 'built' me a small cabaret club. (Its small and intimate --great sound and lights--seats 70) about 3 months ago.
 
We havent had much time or money to do the PR and marketing for it YET, but we have been getting small appreciative crowds. Im actually singing again tonight for a NY's eve bash. Ive really been having FUN singing again and I have a new awareness that one of my 'callings' is to sing and to share my music with..the world.
 
That is what Im doing now. (Even though crowds have been small Im looking forward to 2009 where we will have more PR done and will get larger audiences). WE built this theater in the back of an outlet mall (not the easiest place to find)..but the rent was super low! Obviously thats why we chose this space.
 
The 'challenge' for the new year is to get the word out and let people know we exist! Im grateful that we found a woman who has a degree in Public RElations and has offered to work for us and is SUPER EXCITED!
 
All is well tonight as I head out to perform. I even wrote a new New Years Eve song I will be doing tonight.
 
This show Im doing is called 'SHE, Streisand and ME, Monet'. The first half is my tribute to Streisand, complete with costume and wig changes  (I think I told you I used to impersonate Barbra in Vegas)...and the 2nd half of the show is my original music mainly. I play my guitar in the 2nd half too.
 
So far most of the audiences have left saying they LOVED the second half more than the first...(which is exciting to me) and that they want to hear more of my own songs.
 
Im excited about having this theater even though there are definitely some financial 'fear' thoughts that come up often. WE havent really made a DIME yet on the theater but we've still been paying the rent every month.
 
i believe it will all work out though. I really dooo! I have faith.
