for the homeless

i am worried about the homeless with the below-zero weather we're having this week.  please light a candle and hold them in your hearts.  the name of the group is "home".

Thank you, Kriann, for reminding us of the homeless in this severe winter weather. Here is the city we are fortunate that we have warming centers for anyone in need of warmth, but there are some who refuse to stay at shelters, or can't find one, and are at risk.

Thank you for this, Kriann . . . I too, think of the homeless, especially at this time of year. It is a terrible, soul-crippling thing to be homeless and living on the edges of society. I have lived only a breath away from the streets myself, and I shall never forget the hopelessness I felt. I did not have a home . . . I lived in a car. But by Grace I was saved.
I light a candle this morning for others not so fortunate

Kriann thank you for this reminder, lilsparrow I know the feeling only I didn't have a car. The kind grandmother of a friend took me in, didn't hesitate. I was and still am quite blessed. My husband and I recently took in his cousin once we found out he'd been living in a vehicle for weeks and had told no one. An 18 year old boy living out of a car? I could not have it, we made room and now he has a job and a place to live. Although I did make sure he knew that no matter what our door is always open. I too will light a candle, it's a scary thing to have no where to go.
