Dear Joya, This is wonderful news! I am happy the twins and Betty are doing well. The babies are really a very good size considering their age, and should do well. I hope the other set of twins will improve and grow. I keep Betty and her twins in my prayers, Much love, Edda

Thanks to all of my gratefulness family for your loving thoughts and words to Betty & her twins. Betty and her twins were able to come home today. I have not been able to talk to her today yet as she was resting when I called to check on her today and I didn't want to disturb her as I know what it's like to not be able to rest when you need it. Her hubby says all are fine though. Thanks again. I will keep you posted from time to time on their progress as I told Betty I will help out as much as I can.

To all who have kept up on my friend Betty and her twins, I talked to her today and I would appreciate if you would light another candle for her as they think she might have to go back in the hospital as they think that her c-section is infected. The doctor said that they might have to put a drain tube in and that she would have to stay in the hospital at least 24 hours. The twins babies are doing good. Betty said that her 2 year old twins are still suffering from croop and that her 13 year old has also got a stomach virus. The pediatrician told Betty that he did not want the premie twins to get a fever for at least 2 months. I told Betty that is going to be hard with some of her kids already sick and running a fever and also the kids being at school and coming home with all kids of stuff! I don't know where ya'll live but here there are so many viruses and things going around. I stay at home most of the time during the week with my kids and my doctor said that that is where I keep getting most of my viruses at is my 2 older boys are bringing it home from school on their clothes etc. I have got to where I spray their bookbags when they get home with an antibactrial spray to kill all the germs and I also make them wash their hands and change their clothes. Sparrow, as far as the other set of twins that were in the hospital when Betty was, she said that she thought that when she left that they were doing good but she didn't know for sure as you know how that "privacy act" is. It is hard to find out anything about someone here unless you are family or something. She did tell me that she met a mom in the doctor's office today that had her baby around the same time Betty did and her baby was only 28 weeks and was fighting for it's life. My heart goes out to people like that as one of our closest friends lost their baby a year ago that was born at 28 weeks. She lived 117 days and was doing good till she got RSV. The things that the baby and her parents had to go through, I would not wish that on anyone. Thanks for keeping up with this story of Betty and her kids. I appreciate you taking the time to read this.

Dear Joya, Thank you for letting us know how Betty and her twins are doing. I am sorry that Betty may have an infection. I'll keep her and the babies in my prayers. It is hard to keep viruses out of the house with young children attending school. One of the most helpful things is washing hands, simple but often omitted, even by healthcare professionals! I hope you are feeling better as well! Much love and warm hugs, Edda

Dear Joya . . . I'm sorry the news wasn't better for your friend Betty, but am glad to hear that her infection is treatable and that the twins are doing well. Also thank you for the surprising news of the other twins . . . how wonderful! It only takes one visit to a hospital to be reminded of the heartache that goes on in people's lives every day. I pray for those affected by grief, illness and loss with much love . . . sparrow

Dearest Joya, Sorry I have not visited this forum much and this is the first I am hearing of Betty and her babies. I will certainly add her to my prayers that this infection gets under control and that the doctors do all the right things to cure it. I am so glad her babies are doing as well as they are. I am sorry to hear of all the illnesses going around with your kids and hers. I will pray in general for all children who are sick to get better and hopefully not pass it to siblings. btw, i cherish our friendship Joya. You are a very special friend. Love, Karen

Here is an up-date on my friend Betty and her twins, Betty is suppose to call the doctor tomoorow for her and one of the twins. She does think that her c-section incision is indeed infected and she has another issue going on that she is not sure of. As far as the little premie twin Christopher, he has developed either a cold or sinus infection. With him being little, as you know the doctor said he didn't want them getting sick or a fever so she is going to call in the morning to see what they want to do. I will let you know the outcome as I told her that I would help do whatever she needed me to do this week. Her hubby has to go back to work tomorrow so things will probably be crazy. I have been medicating myself so in case I'm needed that I won't be infecting anyone else. Thanks for keeping up with Betty and her kids.

Dear Joya, thank you for keeping us informed! I am sorry Betty is having problems and that one of the twins seems to have a cold. I hope the doctors will be helpful. You want to help but remember what we have told you! It just occurred to me and I wonder if Betty talked to Social Service at the hospital. Perhaps some home help could be arranged considering the size of Betty's family. She needs to recover, quite apart from possibly having an infection. You are most generous, but your own family has to come first! I'm keeping you all in my prayers, Much love, Edda

Dear Joya . . . What Edda has said bears reading again . . . and again if it doesn't sink in the first time . You must take care of yourself. And she is also very wise to think of social services. They might be able to help. Also, I don't think medicating yourself necessarily keeps you from being contagious (if indeed you are). My prayers are with your friend Betty, and with you dear Joya with much love . . . sparrow

Dearest Joya, Gosh so much has happened to this lady during the last few weeks. I hope her health improves soon as she must be worn out with worry. Joya like the ladies say you need to care for yourself ,you really do. If you become so run down you won't be any good to anyone and your needs must come first.I know is far easier said than done but try to build yourself up.I am sure your freind has family that could rally round as I feel so strongly you are pushing yourself way too hard. Sorry to moan Joya but it's because I care. Take good care,Sandraxx
