My friend Betty

Would all of ya'll please keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers and if you have time light a candle for her. Her name is Betty and she has 6 kids and is pregnant with her 3rd set of twins (which are girl and boy). She is only 33 weeks and they put her in the hospital today because the boy's amnio fluid is very low and if it doesn't come up through giving her IV fluids, they will have to take them tomorrow. She has a planned c-section for Feb. 9 but we don't think she will make it to then. Her kids are 13, 11 then she has a set of twins that are boy and girl that are 8, then her second set are boy twins and they are 2. I would appreciate it and I know that she would too as she has been going through a hard time right now with the pregnancy and other things. Thanks. I will let you know what the doctor's decide tomorrow.

Dear Joya, I will certainly light a candle for your friend Betty who really does have her hands full. It does sound quite worrying and I pray she, and her babies, will get through it without any problems. Love, Jude

Thanks Jude. I have been trying to help her out as much as I can but I have my own hands full with 5 kids. My oldest son had to have an emergency apendectomy last week and we have all been fighting a stomach bug. I hate that I have not been as much help as what I thought I could be. I am trying to do the best I can though. Thanks again.

Dear Joya, I will certainly light a candle for your friend Betty! I hope the babies will be fine! I can hardly imagine how she manages her large family with the new additions. However, I have seen mothers who have a special skill in getting their families "organized" with everyone having their special chores and responsibilities. Praying for the good health of Betty and her childen, Much love, Edda

Dear Joya, I will light a candle for your friend Betty, too! And I'll pray for the babies to be fine. Dear Edda, you are right , some mothers have a special skill for managing with many children; My aunt had 8 children last 2 were twins, boy and girl, and she gave "homeworks" to everyone of them, and it all works ok. I do not know would I'll be able for something like that. With regards and love Buba,Goran's mom I found out that the candle group is Betty

Thanks so very much. I will tell Betty as well. I know that that will make her feel better. Thanks also for making a group as I don't know how to do that. As far as keeping order in a big family, with me, since I have 5, I try to keep mine on some schedule and also make the bigger kids help do chores. I will admit that it is very hard at times to keep a schedule. I also try not to sweat the small stuff. I used to worry about the house being clean and all but my mom told me that when the kids are grown there will be plenty of time to clean the house. Since then I just try to do what I can when I can do it and enjoy the time that I can with them because they grow up so fast.

Joya, you and your Mom have just the right attitude. When I hear my son complaining that there is a small stain on his WHITE sofa I think to myself..."does he want a white sofa or a happy child?" I haven't had the courage to say it to his face yet though. Enjoy your children. Love, Jude

Dear Joya, I agree with Jude, that your mom have right attitude. Injoy every moment with your kids because years are passing by very fast and your "babies" will be grown up fastter than you want. Thinking of your friend Betty, let us now when you get some news (the good ones,I hope). With regards, Buba,Goran's mom

Dear Joya, I am thinking of your friend and her precious little babies right now. It always make my heart so heavy when I hear about babies struggling in the womb. I would love a messy house but as of yet this has not happened . Take care too as you need your strength for your army . Sandraxx

Thanks to all of ya'll who have lit candles and have posted your comments. I went to see Betty last night at the hospital and they are going to take her babies today about lunch. They did another ultrasound last night and the baby boy's fluid was even lowere then before. I am very worried for her because her babies are only 2 days from being 35 weeks and she is not in the very best hospital. They don't have a NICU, so if her babies need that they will have go to a hospital 1 and a half hours away. (which is the same hospital where my son had his appendix took out.)I tried to talk her into moving to a hospital that is alittle closer and that has a very good NICU (where she could stay and where she would be with her baby as well) This hospital is where I have had all of my babies and where my baby had to stay in the NICU. They have so much better technology up there. Betty has some concerns of her own because she is so anemic, the last set of twins she has she had to have a blood transfussion, so they told her to expect that this time as well. I sure hope that her babies won't need the NICU but it really scares me for her because it sure brings back memories of when my baby was in there and we had some friends who lost a premie. All the memories come floating back. I didn't tell her I was so worried because she has enough to worry about but thank God her her kids never have had to be in there before so I don't think she knows what could go wrong. I will probably be going up there sometime today if my kids are doing ok. Last night when I got home my baby started running a 103 degree fever and through the night, 2 of the other little ones started a fever so I don't know what the day will hold for me in case I have to take my kids somewhere as welll but either way I will let Betty know how much she is being thought of. Thanks so much for all your words of kindness. I don't know what I would do without you all!

Good news everybody! I'm sorry that I am just now posting. I has been crazy around here (as always). Betty did have her babies at 2:06 p.m. yesterday and all are fine!!!!!!! I went up there to see her while my mom watched my kids and I got to hold the 2 babies! Thier names are Courney Irene and Christopher Wyatt. They both were 19 inches and had the same head and chest length. The only thing different was that Courtney weighed 1 ounce more. She was 5 pounds and 1 ounce and Christopher was just 5 pounds. They both are so precious but so little. The only minor thing that happend was that Courtney had problems with holding her body temoerature but since has done well. They will all probably go home Monday. Betty also did wonderful. She did not loose as much blood this time but she was in so much pain with the c-section and they also tied her tubes. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers. I was so worried because they were 6 weeks early. Sandra, like you said sometimes babies do fine early. Thanks God you and your sister did well. I will ask all of you to think of a lady who had a set of twins before Betty there. She was 37 weeks and had a set of boy twins and they only weighed a little over 3 pounds. Last night when we went up there one of the twins were not doing well. Betty and I were hoping that they would send the babies to a hospital that had better technology. I talked to Betty tonight and she is going to find out how the other babies are doing. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Joya, This is wonderful news I watched this post from early yesterday. They are a good weight, way more than I was and my little twin . It's so hard seeing all the tiny babies in Neonatal I remember each one as if it was only yesterday I really do . I hope the other little babies go from strength to strength ,I will light one of my night candles for all of God's babies. Take care Joya, and get some rest yourself,Sandraxxxxx
