Re:Hello - 11/3/2009 5:40 PM ( #2484 )
Well, Marvin is still active, he has hit again and deleted everything I had typed. I´ll try to be serene and write everything once more.

I am amazed how busy the café has been today! My mentioning the teacosy (and the snow!) seems to have roused some comment. I appreciate tea-culture, which, to me, means loose tea of good quality, strained, and drunk slowly and serenely... Yes, dear young one, that´s how it used to be! When in England years ago I was told about what was called the "vicar´s tea party", which meant you had to balance a cup of tea with one hand and a sandwich or piece of cake with the other (without a table in front of you )... Then you were considered "British", even if you were a "poor little foreigner", as I was called by a very British young man ... (Forgive the old bird sharing memories of her youth!)

My picture of this morning seems to have been too old, so it was deleted by photobucket... Never mind.

Wishing you all a peaceful night,
with love,
Juliana

Re:Hello - 11/3/2009 6:20 PM ( #2485 )
I want to send you my prayer for tonight:

I am too weak to fight for anything
but don´t think, that I don´t try.
My head is full of rebellious thoughts,
and I am in the end, always by the question, why?
And I am not the only one,
look here, GOD, down to these group
of kind people with so much sympathy -
maybe, some of them are like me,
to cannot trust in a full way -
but knowing in their hearts,
that there must be
something, it´s called YOU,
that will everything, maybe one day,
will clear
and will make our restless hearts
a place of peace.
You know, that love moved in our hearts,
devoted to everything what will come.
Please, bless the people here on this
place
and everywhere.

love and peace for you,
in a thankful way
is.

Well I must not be British but that's ok I can certainly live with that!

I'm sure this still goes on at certain functions, but I've never been to one.......so I can't be British either!!
I suspect dear Juliana, that the comment was made by a "poor little rich guy" who was accustomed to such fancy tea-parties. I guess even the Queen has had to join the 21st century.
I do agree about the tea ceremony though, even though I usually drink my tea-bag tea nowadays from a pottery mug!
