That gave my my first good laugh today! They were invented by very telented animators from Bristol, England. I guess they are very British in their humour and maybe you haven't seen them. Basically, Wallace is an inventor and Gromit, his dog, does most of the work. Their first animated film "The Wrong Trousers" is for me the funniest and one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The full-length film, "Chicken run" which went to Hollywood to be made, and is not so good or as funny. Here is a link, where incidentally, I also found the Google tea-drinking picture! http://www.aardman.com/

Back with coffee . . . ps. who in the world are Wallace and Gromit? Oh dear, I shouldn't have asked! And please, dear snowpeople, do not send it my way promise...not to send it not yet! I am not ready! Right now I will have some of Marie's sunshine, and sit on her beautiful bench! I see mention of the Christmas decorations in Chicago. One of my favorite experiences of Chicago was walking down the streets at night during the holiday season . . . ah me, so much in love, so very long ago . . . if nuts are brainfood, well then, I should be very smart, as I love all kinds of nuts. A beautiful day to all. I am so blessed to have this place to come to with love . . . sparrow ♥

All this activity since I looked last night! Some of it I should have seen but was "withheld" from me! Dear Isabella, I was touched by your prayer. May the gift of peace be yours! All you tea lovers, I think cocktail parties pose the same problem as the tea parties mentioned above, where you wish you had a third arm. With a glass of wine in one hand, a little plate in the other, what do you use to get the nibbles into your mouth? And then someone comes around with a tray to offer you something tempting! Oh well, I'll just have a cup of with all of you before I have to be on my way! Edda

Let me join you with afternoon tea - me too please... I´ve been trying hard to get the cups in the right position - but Marvin keeps interfering
Juliana I would hit him but I know violence is not the answer so I shall and let him be...with a cup of of course! ps Some of it I should have seen but was "withheld" from me but sometimes you just have to take action

ps. who in the world are Wallace and Gromit? Oh dear, I shouldn't have asked! I hope dear Sparrow, that you didn't think I was laughing at you, although your comment did make me laugh. Probably the funniest and most clever of Nick Park's animated models are called "Creature Comforts" where recordings of real members of the public are put as voice-overs to animations of various animals and bugs etc. Ordinary people are funnier than any script, and more so when the voice is seemingly coming from a creature. These two are my favourites...a husband and wife who enjoy picking little holes in what each other says. Difficult to describe.

Hello Ladies. I posted and lost it when I flipped pages to catch up. You think I would have this down after all my posts. Duh. Sorry I missed coffee earlier. I ran out bright and early, another sunny day and got the makings for dinner and had it cooked by 10:30AM today and those awful pots and pans washed by 11:00AM. Well, I forgot to mention I had dinner, um breakfast at 11:00AM. It was better than shredded wheat and bananas. It was good to veer from the routine. If I had the containers I would have thought to make extra and freeze it. Next time. Sandra, yes that is my big corn in the photo. I have a chipmunk that lives on and around the porch and he has probably tried to eat it. I think he ate some of the pumpkins that went out to the trash. So Sandra forgive me who is Fluffy? I have missed that post. I realize salt is not good in abundance. I use sea salt only. I started to use sea salt after seeing the sea salt in Utah where some of it comes from and it was served in some restaurants. I have seen your photos posted on the beauty thread, very nice, thank you. The problem I have is when snapping as you say, with a digital camera in the sun you cannot see what you are viewing. Well I will keep snapping.

Jude I laughed at your photo when I was little when we had guests I would be 'killed' if I gave anyone a mug. My argument was why have them if you can't use them.I never got an answer just a telling off! Sorry I missed coffee earlier
Not to worry there is always a drink in this cafe for everyone Gosh the little chipmunk must have been hungry bless him!actually they are very sweet .. So Sandra forgive me who is Fluffy? I have missed that post. opps sorry Fluffy is Sparrow she has many names thanks to moi it must be the feathers I think Marie I have to confess I love salt I can't eat a meal without it Thank you yes the beauty thread is a blessing to us all. The sun does block or blind your view sometimes but my advice is just keep ing because there will always be some that escape the glow of the sun..

Hi Jude. I love the photo! What a lovely gift! So pretty with the sparkley blue banner. Thank you. I am going to print your photo and scan it to frame. I may need to adjust the color but so nice. London was my very first trip abroad alone. I never rode on the double decker bus, they look really neat. If ever I return I will be sure to do so.

Hi Sandra, thanks for the personalized coffee mug. I could not find my name as a child on anything. I will treasure it. So you are starting a tour company. Good idea. They are expensive to go on but like any trip you have to go in the off times for the deals. I went in the end of April before busloads came in early May years ago.

So Sandra forgive me who is Fluffy? I have missed that post. Ah yes, Marie . . . Sandra has named us all! You shall receive another name before long I should think! I am afraid I started something with the Wallace and Gromit question. They are quite alarming! I did recognize them from Sharon's avatar, but did not know where they came from . . . It is rare that i am able to come to the forum this late, but I see that no one is here anyway. A good night or morning all . . . wherever you are-- eastwestnorthsouth with love . . . sparrow (fluffy) (feathers puffed up to keep out the cold)
