Dear Isabella we all loved KNUDDEL and made him very at home here .Betty  borrowed him for the night but he is back now and sleeping

I am sorry you don't care for Christmas, maybe I should tone it down? I don't want to make you feel bad or awkward. I just have so much enthusiasm for the Holidays, to say the least, it was not always this way.

There are times that it is the only thing that helps, although I might try Jude's suggestion and maybe add a little more than a just "dash" of the

hard stuff.  I am not sure "my friend" would respond at all to just a dash!

I haven't even begun to make the candy yet. Containers need to be gotten first, and tops decorated before any candy making can begin.

Isabella, I hope you don't mind that I "borrowed" Knuddel last night.  He is such a soft, gentle comfort.
Jude, thank you for more pictures of the decorations in England.  They are wonderful.

Sorry     is being a bit mischievous lately.  Like any male, he does have his moods.  Maybe he thinks he just isn't getting enough attention.

It's  lovely that you enjoy the festive season so much and please don't tone your enthusiasm down.For me Christmas brings much heartache .However this does not stop me enjyoying the cafe light's or indeed joining in with the decoration of the cafe (as you may have noticed) I don't feel bad or awkward I am happy for others who like this season.Ok enough of my rambling

the 2 most liked tea I´ve got when I was a child in the sick bay of the Children´s Home were I lived. Our nurse was the BEST cooking tea.
If we had a virus, she always made Eibischtee (I am not sure the name is marshmellow for Eibisch?), with lemons, sugar...
My children loved it.
the other was tea of rose hips in combination with raspberry...
 
And one special was made of my Arab friends:
black tea cooked with 1 Orange, a peace of cimmamom stick, raisins, one or two peace of clove, a little bit of vanilla, sugar.....
 
You remember me to enjoy the last one again...

from Marie...ilisparrow I also have two fireplaces and have never used them. I don't burn in them because of the little pops that may come out with the youngin. I am happy Betty has provided us with with this warm fire. So cozy.

We had a fireplace when I was a girl,
and I have such wonderful memories of sitting in front of it in the evenings . . .
but where I live now, they have blocked the chimneys . . .
I hear they make 'fireplace videos' now . . .
