RE: Please pray for my husband - 5/23/2009 10:29 PM ( #241 )
Dear Beryl,

Ah, men and blue eyes! My husband also has blue eyes and quite a few women were after him before we were married!

A few years ago I wrote something for a very sick friend. Others were touched by it.
I have written it on a card I sent to David. I'll post it here since I don't know when the mail might catch up with you.

You are
in a place
on your life's journey
where I haven't been,
uncharted territory
for those around you,
even though
we may have witnessed
the experience
of others  on the way.

May the web
of prayers
and caring support you,
may the unbreakable
threads of grace
hold you up
that surrounded
by love
you may continue
your journey
with courage
and trust.

You and David remain in my heart and prayers,

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda

Peace and joy!

Dear Beryl,

I just heard a song that made me think of you..."The Way We Were" by Barbara Streisand! I wish I was good at the you tube thing for you...maybe someone else can link it up for you??? It is one of my favorites. I love the words in this song!

May God strengthen you both!

Peace, Love, Light, and Joy,
Diane

Love and light Sandraxx

Memries,
Like the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? could we?
Memries, may be beautiful and yet
Whats too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So its the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were...
The way we were...

Thank you Sandra for your "you tube" expertise and the songs words written down too. I appreciate the help with that!

The poem, Edda is so beautiful.

Dear Beryl,
I hope each moment you two spend together is forever graced by God's love through both of your hearts.

Thank you for your prayers. David is about the same, very weak but his vital signs are good. Dr. Kane does not know how long he can go on like this. He knew my youngest daughter Patti and we got him to eat some orange sherbert and a little bit of chocolate pudding along with some ice chips, water and a little bit of iced tea. The nurse said he also had a small amount of cream of rice for breakfast. I do not know what is keeping him alive.
Then God sent the Greyhound to live among man and remember.
And when the Day comes, God will call the Greyhound to give
Testament, and God will pass judgment on man.

Bless you Beryl for letting us all know how your dear David is.

David is very strong inside and I guess it's your love that is keeping him here.

When the time comes he will carry your love with him Beryl on the other side.

I do believe your dear Grandmother was right  as Jesus knocked on my door

not so long ago.

God bless you Beryl Sandraxx

Dearest Beryl, my thoughts are with you and your "blue eyed bear". I have thought of both of you all weekend. You are so close to my heart for many reasons. I can't help but think of you and your hubby as my my hubby's name is also David and he is also blue eyed so, every time that I call him you both come to mind. Please know that I am still here for you and you know, I believe like the others have said, LOVE is what is keeping your David with you. I am lighting another candle for you.

They were to move Dave today to a dedicated Hospice Center or a skilled nursing home. He is not stable enough to be moved. If he gets stable they will move him tomorrow and it will be to a skilled nursing home near me called Elder Crest, the Hospice center is much further away

Elder Crest is closer to my home that the hospital where he is now at and the Hospice.  Elder Crest is about 10 minutes away, the hospital is about 20 minutes and the Hospice is at least 30 minutes away
