Dearest Beryl, as the teard flow from my eyey, my heart breaks for you as I know it has been a very long and hard road. I know that you will mis your "blue eyed bear" and your companion. I can't say that I know how you are feeling to lose your hubby like that and I hope that I will never have to. I do know what it like to lose someone close to you and the pain is so deep. Please know that you are not alone and that we are ALWAYS here for you. I do hope that your greyhounds will be able to give you some comfort. I know that it must make you feel somewhat better to know that David is not in anymore pain. I know that you will miss him bunches. I can't imagine the pain that you are going through. Please know that if you need me, I am here for you any time. I am going to light a candle for you and in memory of your "blue eyed bear" David. With Love Always, Joya

David's Celebration of Life was done by two pastors from the church where he worked. Rev. Heather called David a Shepherd from the way he took care of the staff, members and visitors of the church plus of course me and his beloved greyhounds. David will be laid to rest at the National Cemetary near Pittsburgh and when I am called home that is where I will be also beside him. If you want to see where David worked it is called. East Liberty Presbyterian Church, Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh
Then God sent the Greyhound to live among man and remember. And when the Day comes, God will call the Greyhound to give Testament, and God will pass judgment on man. (Persian Proverb)

A very nice remark was said that they had never heard of a person spoken of as a Shepherd before. David only wanted 3 things and that is to be loved, needed and wanted. I hope he knew he got all three from me and I did get all three from the staff & members of the Church he worked at..

Dear Beryl, What a lovely memorial to your beloved David! He sounds such a lovely man and was obviously appreciated by all who knew him. Thinking of you often dear Beryl, and keeping you in prayer, With ove, Jude

Dearest Beryl, What a lovely thing to say about your beloved husband at his Celebration of Life Ceremony. May you be comforted each day to know these things from the ones who worked closely with him. May God keep you in the days to come in love and light and comfort and grace. Peace, Love, Light, and Joy, Diane

I hope he knew he got all three from me David did Dearest Beryl why do you think his eyes were so bright. The brightness would have left him long time ago if he was not loved... I looked at the church Beryl it's fitting for your David it really is. David was a shepherd and he always will be. Beryl the day Dear David passed on it effected us all here on Gratefulness it really did. The world is a better place since your Darling Husand came.. God bless him and you always ..love Sandra xxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Beryl . . . It sounds from the little you mention of his service, that David was valued and well-loved where he worked at the church, and that you have been blessed by his loving them, as well as by his love for you . . . the years you had together have been such a gift. Your heart is irrevocably entwined with his . . . in this way he has not left you at all, but still lives cherished in your heart with much love . . . sparrow

There are some beautiful posts in his Legacy book also and so many people knew and loved him. I miss him so much and to sit here without him next to me is so painful. He was leaning how to do things on the computer.

He was leaning how to do things on the computer. Well, my guess dear Beryl is that David will be sitting next to you at the computer from now on. Blessings, Love, Jude

Dearest Beryl, my heart is still so broken for you. I know that your heart has to be aching and hurting so much right now. Thanks for sharing more of your "blue eyed bear's" legacy with us. Thanks for also sharing with us about his celebration of life. I know that he was a special person to so many including us here on the forum. His legacy will go on forever. I just want you to know that you have NEVER been far from my thoughts and prayers and I have been ligting candles for you and also one in memory of David. I know that us here on the gratefullness forum can only comfort you so much, but just wanting you to know that we are here for you ALWAYS. I also believe that your "blue eyed bear" is with you everywhere and looking out for you and your greyhounds including when you are on the computer. Take CAre Beryl. With Love ALways, Joya

I went to work today for 3 1/2 hours my regular shift which I do twice a week and I am also on call. I am glad that I did go. When I went to check my mail there was an envelope in my mail box from the UK and inside was an angel with 3 white feathers. Oh Sandra Thank You so much. A couple of the girls at work including my boss Rachelle said that the angel was beautiful.. David also received a card the other day that said: "Greyhounds are kissed by Angels and David the Angels have kissed you too" How fitting that Sandra's angel came also..
