The cards and especially the message board helps even when Dave was here helped so much both of us.  Now it has been a blessing to me that so many people care.  The angel and white feathers today were so helpful I even was able to show the chaplain at the hospital the beautiful angel and I do have to find a place to show her off.  Right now she is in the china closet and I am going to try and get a picture of her to show everyone that has been so involved with me and of course David during this devasting time.

And when the Day comes, God will call the Greyhound to give
Testament, and God will pass judgment on man.

Dearest Beryl

So many people care because both you and David are loving caring people.

I think about about you daily and still continue to hold you both in my daily thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Bery, You and your "blue eyed bear" still stay close to my heart, thoughts and prayers. I know that this has got to be such a devastating and hard time for you as I know that you have to miss David so very much. Please know that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers and a candle continues to glow for you and David. With Love ALways, Joya

Thank you Jude.  Right now I am just trying to cope and have to learn to do things that David did.  I have to learn how to pump gas and a few other things.  At least I learned to clean the air filter in the air cleaner.

Dear Beryl . . .
It must seem as a dream
getting back to the world
and the business of living . . .
but living in a different way.
It is good to see you come here
and tell us these little things of your day~
also that you have loving support around you.
I had to smile when you told us about Sandra's angel
and the white feathers . . .
you remain very much in my thoughts and prayers
with much love . . .

It is the boards that are keeping my head above water and the angel is beautiful.  I will get a picture of her shortly and post it.  How ironic it came about the same time as the card saying "Greyhounds are kissed by Angels" and inside is written David The Angels are kissing you too.  Might not be the right words but you know what I am trying to say..

I know he is at peace and no more pain so I guess I have to suffer the pain of losing him now

You are right dear Beryl . . .
Your David is no longer suffering or in pain.
That knowledge alone may help you
as you pass these days of transition.
You know of course,
that his heart . . . the soul of him
is not dead,
but lives on within you
and in all who knew him,
and in truth,
I believe his spirit is very much alive
with love . . .

Dear Beryl,

Let me send you words of comfort that were posted here months ago.

On the death of the Beloved

Though we need to weep your loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
Where no storm or might or pain can reach you.

Your love was like the dawn
Brightening over our lives
Awakening beneath the dark
A further adventure of colour.

The sound of your voice
Found for us
A new music
That brightened everything.

Whatever you enfolded in your gaze
Quickened in the joy of its being;
You placed smiles like flowers
On the altar of the heart.
Your mind always sparkled
With wonder at things.

Though your days here were brief,
Your spirit was live, awake, complete.

We look towards each other no longer
From the old distance of our names;
Now you dwell inside the rhythm of breath,
As close to us as we are to ourselves.

Though we cannot see you with outward eyes,
We know our soul’s gaze is upon your face,
Smiling back at us from within everything
To which we bring our best refinement.

Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you.
You would want us to find you in presence,
Beside us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows
And music echoes eternal tones.

When orchids brighten the earth,
Darkest winter has turned to spring;
May this dark grief flower with hope
In every heart that loves you.

May you continue to inspire us:

To enter each day with a generous heart.
To serve the call of courage and love
Until we see your beautiful face again
In that land where there is no more separation,
Where all tears will be wiped from our mind,
And where we will never lose you again.

~ John O’Donohue

With Love,
Juliana

Julianna & Diane thank you even tho it brought tears to my eyes

Today we got some more paperwork done and I even managed to get gas (petrol) in the car with my daughter's help.  Next time maybe I can do it by myself.

Dearest Beryl,

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go about learning to manage daily life without your beloved David. He remains with you in your heart all along.
I am sure there are lots of questions you would have liked to have asked him, but he'll send you the answers through the angels in your life.

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Re:Please pray for my husband - 6/5/2009 11:15 PM ( #317 )
Yes Edda so many questions I should of asked but some I did ask he did not give me the right answer.  I did ask him about 10 days before he died where his discharge papers were?  In told me they were in his drawer.  We have searched all of his drawers in his dresser and no discharge papers.  When you asked him a question he would take so long to answer so I don't know if it was the cancer or medication that was causing him respond so slowly.
Then God sent the Greyhound to live among man and remember.
And when the Day comes, God will call the Greyhound to give
Testament, and God will pass judgment on man.

Dear Beryl,
You are often in my thoughts and my heart goes out to you as you struggle with life without David. I'm so proud of you as you learn new skills which must be so hard because of the reason you are having to learn them.
Be patient with yourself.

Jude
