i'm glad to hear how he's doing.  And The Footsteps Prayer is a beautiful way to remember the presence of God and His workers in our lives.

Sorry I have not been on here is a Dave update. Monday of Easter week his red cells were down gave him a pint of blood, Tuesday he had Chemo.  This Monday (day after Easter) he had a blood test, etc., needed more blood gave him 2 pints and said he had a bleed somewhere so he will be getting an endoscope and colonospopy to try and find the bleed.  Another blood test is scheduled this week.  He also gained 5 lbs.

To make matter worse on the 3 year aniversary of our Phawn's passing to The Rainbow Bridge from osteosarcoma we had to say goodbye to Softee our senior girl who would of been 15 August 2.

We think the weight gain is from Drinking Carnation Breakfast he has at least one/day.  He will get scoped on Monday and they should find out the source of the blood loss then or it could be from the blood thinner they are using it is a shot in the belly called Lovenox and it has now been discontinued until they find out the source.  He has been having nose bleeds and had 3 on Monday so far since they stopped the shots no nose bleeds....

I am sure that St. Francis is watching over my companions until I can see them again

Dear Beryl,
Thank for the updates on David. I do hope they find what's causing the problems and I will light a candle for you both.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your pet, especially as it was on the same day as the anniversary.

With Love and Blessings,

Dear Beryl . . .
I hope the tests go/went? well,
and that the doctors were able to find the source of the bleed.
The weight gain sounds good.
There are all kinds of nutrition boosting drinks around now.
When my father was sick
the hospital had little shakes that came in 8 oz size milk carton.
They were thick,
and packed a huge number of nutrients as well as calories.
I cannot remember what they were called.
I am sorry to hear that your beloved Softee has crossed the Rainbow bridge . . .
you know
she will be waiting for the sound of your voice
with love . . .

David just left for the Cancer Center last night we talked about needing another blood test and possibily more blood so we decided that he would go today.  The sooner the better if he needs the blood.

Thank you for caring about my sweet Softee who left this world with dignity

Diane Thank you

The Carnation Breakfast is almost the same as Ensure/Boost

Beryl, I, too, am glad that David did not need another transfusion. When my husband was in the hospital after his hip repacement surgery, he got a special Ensure twice a day!

Keeping you both in my prayers,
Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

The Cancer Center is getting the Carnation Breakfast for him.  I will see how it compares to the ensure as I have some in the house

Hello dear Beryl . . .
The fortified shakes my father was getting
were super-fortified,
like ensure or boost with a kick . . .
I don't think they were available on the general market . . .
