Please pray for my husband - 3/2/2009 2:00 PM ( #1 )
In August my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and we were told it had metasized to his liver and abdomen.  In September they removed a baseball size tumor from his colon.  He started chemotherapy the end of September and has been getting treated every two weeks.  We are praying that they can reduce the tumor so that he can get a liver resection.  His liver function tests are down to 99 from 243 and his doctor is very please with that.  He has no side effects from the chemo except some loss of hair.

I do not think I could go through another death from cancer right now.  I lost my youngest twin Al to cancer Christmas Eve Morning 2007

Thank you for listening

Thank you Jude.  Let me think about a name.  Maybe just David as the patron saint of Wales is St. David and that is where I stayed during the blitz.  BTW I am a 71 year old grandmother.

I was in a little town called Llantwit Vardre, near Pontypridd in the county of Glamorganshire.  My mother and grandmother were from the Rhonda Valley and I know nothing about my father.  I understand that when I was born Beryl was a very popular name then for a girl.

Hi Beryl
I will light a candle for your husband and for you my dear.
I am sorry to hear about your loss of your twin last year.
Cancer is so difficult and we are blessed here to have such a good medical team of doctors working to erradicate this disease. Yet not all is known yet and there is much work to be done. My husband had cancer twice in the past four years. He went through a stem cell transplant last January. So far he is recovery well and slowly getting weaned off all the medicines.

I know what you mean about not wanting to face another loss too. During that time my father passed away and our sons best friend's dad passed away from cancer and our surf coach passed away from cancer last year as well. Its like please no more death, please God. I can't tkae any more of it. Please know I inderstand and will do my best to pray for comfort and healing for you from the depths of my heart.

"But unto you that fear my name
shall the Sun of righteousness rise
with healing in his wings..."
Malachi 4:2
"Working Hand in Hand with Modern Medicine!"

I saw this and thought of you and many others here.

I hope we can share more at another time.

God's Blessings!
Love and light,
Diane

Hi Beryl,

I am sorry you did not recieve better news form CT.
It is so hard to be in that waiting for results turn good.
It is good it did not grow anymore.

What kind of cancer is it if you don't mind me asking?
Is this a new tumor? or a regrowth from surgery.

My sons friend had stomache cancer a very rare type and his tumor was over 10 pounds...they removed it and it came back and then with chemo it was finally destroyed and he is well and doing fine now for four years now.

Just remember healings happen in cancer everyday. The trend is more healings than not now. Keep your faith for the highest good happening for you and him. After being at one of the world's finest hospital I have witnessed many of these miracles happen at City of Hope and it is happening every where in all the hospitals around the world.

Bless your prayers,
Diane

Diane
He was diagnosed with colon cancer in August, September they removed a baseball size tumor and gave him a colostomy.  Doctor is not too worried about the results of the ct as the tumor in his liver has not grown any more.  He is trying to get the tumor down so that they can do a liver resection

Hi Beryl,
Thank you so much for sharing that with me.
I hope all the next rounds of chemo work to shrink it.
So your next CT will bring good news to you both.
So you can move forward towards the liver surgery.

May God's healing love and light surround you both.

Love,
Diane

Holding you and your husband prayerfully inside my heart, Beryl.  And I'll light a candle.  I hope the chemo does what he needs it to so he can have the re-section done on the liver.

with love...
