Hi there friends....

First of all i wanted to mention that I have not had much time for the internet in the last couple of months, so if anyone is messaging me on another thread and I dont notice please forgive me.

But the main reason for this post is to let you know Joya's mother (I forget her first name, will edit this with it soon) fell and broke and dislocated bones in her ankle really badly. its been about a week and they can not do the surgery to fix it yet until some blisters from the cast go away. They put her under anesthesia for the surgery before taking off the cast and then they found they had to postpone the surgery. poor thing! Please say prayers that the blisters dont come back (Joya says they cut them off) so the surgery can happen the end of this week.

Joya herself is feeling tired and will let you know her health concerns when she returns to the forum after she gets her computer back from being fixed.

Thank you for keeping us informed! I am so sorry about Joya's mother's accident! I know all about blisters from Leon's experience; they certainly get into the way of treatment! Please, tell Joya that she is in my thoughts and prayers. I will light a candle for her and her mother.

Joya says that the doctors are hoping the big blisters are not going to come back so they can do the surgery to her mom's ankle on Friday. The surgery is supposed to take 2 1/2 hours.

Joya's computer is still down and she is really busy with Betty's babies back in the hospital again. Joya doesnt want anyone to think she is ignoring them and that she will catch up as best she can when she gets her computer back.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for her mom, her and Betty's twins.

thank you for all your encouragement and supportive replies. I tell Joya of your posts when we talk on the phone and it brightens her. :)  It is nice of you Sparrow to say I am such a good friend. That is something I strive to be. My local friends do not usually open up to me like people do on this forum. So I really value your warmth and caring on here, dear friends.

I finally got to speak to Joya briefly yesterday. She said her mother's surgery went well and that she is not in that much pain. She told me that in a couple of weeks they will take the cast off and check it again. her mother received a whole bunch of pins and such. the surgery took a couple of hours!

as to the twins, I do not know their condition as I forgot to talk to her about them and Betty because I was in a hurry. i will call her in a little while or tomorrow to let you all know.

PS she also did not discuss with me her computer situation. it was a really short phone call. last we spoke of it her motherboard was probably corrupted?(if that is what you call it-not much of a computer expert here)....I dont think she has any idea when she will get this one back or a new one. time will tell....

Thank you, Karen, for giving us updates! I am glad Joya's mother's surgery went well. Recovery will take time, but physical therapy is very helpful!

Hi everyone!!!1 Karen, you are a LIFE SAVER! You really are! Thanks for keeping everyone up-dated for me!  Thanks also for everyone's comments as they mean so much! My mom is doing better. They took her cast off yesterday and put her on a boot but she still won't be able to walk on it for I think 4 more weeks. She is in a wheelchair and can't drive or go to work which is bothering her so much as she is usually a goer. She has not had good ballance for awhile and she needs to start taking better care of herself. I fussed at her and I told her that maybe this is an eye opener and maybe she needs to think of slowing down. I know that she misses coming and seeing my kids so I have been taking them to her when I can. I will be seeing her tomorrow, so we will see.
 
AS far as Betty and the twins, they are better. They only had to stay in the hospital for a couple days.They are home now and doing good. They are over 8 pounds now and you can tell that they don't really look like premies anymore. They have filled out so very well. I just saw them Saturday. They are so precious! Thanks again for all you care and concerns. Love to you all!!!!

thank  you so much Jude. I am trying to count my blessings and concentrate on the good instead of the bad. There is alot of beauty in my life, alot of joy and much to be happy about. Its a matter of attitude for me, and I am trying to keep mine up with mental health treatment and positive thinking.

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear that you have been so down. I thought about calling you this week but I have been real busy! Yes! I have got a computer now. I had to buy one as mine there was no hope for it! (Like me huh imagine that huh? ha ha) Anyway, You know that you can call me any time day or night as I am usually up. Especially lately as I am not sleeping good. Sometimes it helps to have someone to talk to. Anyway, thanks for the sweet words about mom and Betty.  TAke care and I hope to hear from you soon.
