Dear Juliana . . .
I smiled today after reading your post about leaving the chocolate egg for Sandra.
As a 'grown up'
I always leave the pennies I find,
for little faces closer to the ground . . .
Our next door neighbors had a daughter who often play in the area between our houses.
One day, while going through my beadwork
I found a little pair of earring I'd made
that looked just right for a little girl.
In the evening,
I went out and laid them in the grass . . .
they were gone the next afternoon.
I hope it was she who found them,
and not a crow with an eye for something bright and shiny . . .
with love . . . sparrow
