Whatever you believe over the Israel / Palestine issues, Tristan Anderson was involved in what was to be a non-violent protest against the ongoing wall. He was standing aside a group of boys who began throwing rocks and the IDF retaliated shooting gas cannisters into the crowd. One his Tristan directly in the head, shattering facial and cranial bones and leaving a large hole in his head. He is hanging on in an Israel hospital and his parents are on their way. Tristan is much loved by many for the compassion and empathy he has shown in standing by the repressed and unrepresented all over the world. His family and friends are taking this very badly. I love the candle site and it has helped me during times of worry and loss. Could I beg whoever is willing to add to the support, it would mean a lot to his mother especially. Thank you so much. The group is tr an .....

Dear Peacenik . . . This story is so horrific . . . it breaks my heart that it is not as unusual as it should be. I hope that you will come back to the forum, and let us know how Tristan and his family are doing. In the meantime I have lit a candle for him in the group you have created with love . . . sparrow ps. candle group-- http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=tr%20an What breaks my heart even more is how politics seem to overide the horror experienced by this young man. I did google him, and found some terribly cruel comments posted by people who are unable to see Tristan as a human being rather than a symbol of something despised. Where is simple human compassion?

Dear Peacenick, welcome to the forum! The story you tell is really sickening and sad. Those who stand up for what is right are often made to suffer unfairly. I will keep Tristan and his family in my prayers. I lit a candle for them earlier this morning! With every good wish and love, Edda

Hi Peacelnick, I have lit a candle for Tristan and his family. I would love to here more about Tristan if you ever have time to do so. Its very heartbreaking this story... I pray peace comes to the Middle East in all its countries and once again is a Holy Place for its people to live. It is heart breaking in deed for all who live there and all who are called to go there. Thank you for sharing with us all this story. I recently read a story about a young girl who was studying there and was killed by a bulldozer that was going to plow down the house that her exchange family was sleeping in and now there is a foundation there at the site because so many were moved by her valaint act. The family was saved because of the commotion she made. Its amazing what young and beautiful hearts do for those they love no matter where they are in the world. I wish I could remember her name but I can't right now. Blessings, Diane
Grateful to be here! What a gift and connection builder! Love and Gratitude, Love who You Are

Its amazing what young and beautiful hearts do for those they love no matter where they are in the world. It's good to be reminded of the good hearts young people have. Kriann, By all means use it....please do. It came to me during one of our circle dances, years ago now. Probably about 2002/03...something like that, in response to war in the Middle East.

Dearest Peacenick, My thoughts are wih this very brave and caring young man right now and his family. I's so sad it really is that people who are so innocent are the ones suffering the most through war. I hope and plead that one day people will stop destroying the gift of life that Jesus has given us all. Take care Peacenick,Sandra

Dear Peacenik, I too will join my friends in lighting candles for Tristan. I pray that he survives and can heal from his devastating injuries.... I know the circumstances of your joining in here are hard, but I still wanted to welcome you to our group. I for one know that sharing my griefs and my joys with caring people makes me feel more alive and connected to community than ever before. Take care and please keep us posted if you know more. thanks, Karen EDIT: P.S. I wrote this on my candle and wanted to share it with you all reading here: may he be able to feel the caring of all these candles warming his hurting heart.
