Hi,
I asked Gayles permission to write here on her behalf. She is feeling extremely challenged at this time.  She is a colon cancer survivor.  when she went earlier this week to the doctor, her pulminary numbers were up.  One doctor wants to do a biopsy, no rush he said.  And it may be just allergy to something she is known to be allergic to.  Still its just one more thing added to the large hill she is dealing with at this time
 
As I originally wrote, Gayle was in the car when an accident took the life of her first husband.  The recent diagnosis of her second husband,  Bill, with 15 % kidney function, eye problems, and hypertention problems, on top of the diabites has understandably brough up some old and very challenging pain.
 
She is holding on..... sometimes by her fingernails.   Gayle is strong.  Yet, when such challenges in life mount, and old grief and fear comes around again, even the strongest of us need lots of candles lit.  So this is why i am writing to you all.  I have been lighting candles in a group called:   bill   I am asking if you will continue to  light candles for them both.  Gayle does come here to read your messages.  She just may not often be able to answer.  She was very grateful when I emailed her asking if I could post a detailed request.   Sending light and love and angels for Gayle Bill and you all, liliwings.

Thanks to all of you, again, for continuing to hold Bill & I in your thoughts & prayers, with a special gratitude to Lilywings...she is right, I do read what is written here, and it has helped SO much! I tend to withdraw when struggling, so what a wonder for me that others have kept the faith for us.

 Bill is back at work, which is a great thing...though I confess I went briefly berserk with fear & worry when he was not reachable by phone for a day...I called his hotel & had them check his room, so scared he had collapsed. He was fine, geez...embarrassing! So, you see, your prayers are a help indeed...he is managing his medical problems well.

I am going to light a candle for Bill and for you, knowing very well how it feels when one is anxious or even in panic because of a Loved One! I am praying for both of you. A friend told me "not to catastrophize" in such situations - and that is what I have been trying to do. Let us learn instead to TRUST as best we can!

I am happy to hear that Bill is back at work. I know what you felt when you couldn't reach him by phone. This happened once to me. As it turned out, our cat had taken a phone off the hook and I got nothing but a busy signal for a prolonged period of time until I sent my neighbor to check on him!

Perfect timing...how did you know how desperately I needed the light from your candle, and kind thoughts?! Thank you for your candles lit and prayers.  Gayle is grateful and a bit embarassed.  She told me that she was rather embarassed at how worried she was.  The surgery was simple and non eventful. She thinks that it was the anticipation of dialysis.  The whole thing was scaring her in the moment.  But all is well.  thank you again.  love light and angels, liliwings
