Keeping the hope of Easter in our hearts

Edda has kindly translated this prayer into English. Let the hope of Easter radiate into our everyday lives! You who are Alive You are stronger than death I lift up to you every kind of death the paralyzing loneliness the broken relationship the bottomless sadness the witless wasting away the terrible misery the painful separation the distressing tragedy the dying of loved ones my own death Be the life in every death Set a new beginning to life over and over again. - Anton Rotzetter Juliana _____________________________ Speak Peace in a World of Conflict

Thank you Julianna and Edda, Let the hope of Easter radiate into our everyday lives! I hope so too as this Easter I really felt closer to Jesus more than I have ever done through out my life. God bless you all,Rainbow

Thank you Juliana and Edda . . . for this poem and translation. Where there is life, there must be hope . . . death as we know it is really only a door opening into a new beginning, isn't it? ♥

Let me share what Richard Rohr says in his meditation for today, as it touches the lives of each one of us: If you accept that there was a Resurrection that will not necessarily lead to any active or transformative faith. (Of course God could raise up Jesus if he wanted to. Mere belief in miracles does not transform us.) But if you can trust that God would do the same for you, then you also will be changed, and you can begin to change the world. The Resurrection was not a miracle to prove that Jesus was in union with God, although it does have that effect. It is the revelation of how God does things in all of time! Just saying “Wow!” about Jesus being raised from the dead, does nothing for God, for the world, or for you. It is the same excitement as a magic show. But if you can say “Wow!” about what can and is happening now, then the Mystery of Resurrection has moved into our space and our time—and all time. Resurrection is God’s job description, not a one time magic show. Juliana _____________________________ Speak Peace in a World of Conflict

Dear Juliana, To me, resurrection is something that happens continuously. There are many "deaths" in our lives, losses, disappointments, illnesses and so forth, but they are followed by "resurrections" as well. I think of these cycles as rehearsals for that final encounter with death and the the Resurrection that follows. "As it went for Jesus, so it goes for us!" the mystic, Bernadette Roberts said. Edda
