Does anyone know if you can actually get straight to the post you want to (for instance, the last one in a thread)?
This is the thing which is stressing me out the most, as it automatically goes to page 1 each time. the same thing happens after you add your reply.

Jude,

I've noticed if I go to a particular forum instead of today's posts I can click on the highest page number given for a post and get more quickly to the post, and I can tell from the minutes or hours since a post was made if I might have read it already or not. This seems to work for me.

Love,
Edda

I'm not enjoying the Forum at the moment. I have to keep leaving it in order to do other things, and then I can't remember if I've seen all the posts. I look at the list of posts since my last visit, and wonder if I've missed any, and I think it's clear that some of us are missing a few. Also the pages take ages to load now....oh! it's all sent to try us (well, me anyway )

Good Morning Jude,

Oh dear sorry to hear you are troubled by the forum and it's make over.Jude I am puzzled because when I log on it shows me yellow dancing things on the left of the threads I have not readI am guessing your unable to see what I seebut there again very few people see what I see

It also took me a while to load at first, but being the rushed person I am refreshed the thread and this took two secondsI guess for me it was not a lesson to be learnt as somethings are worth waiting for

Edda took the words right out of my mouth Jude bless her.

love to all from the dippy one of the bunch

For those who do not want two forum pages open at the same time in order to read all and respond to all the posts and run then the risk of your post being lost, if the post is just written word with no inserted pictures, your program used for typing letters can be opened showing the typical blank page.  Your response post can be typed on the word processing page, then sign on to the forum, go to the last message, hit reply, then copy and past your reply post.  Even if your reply somehow gets lost, you still have it on the word processing page and you can merely copy/paste it again.  There have been times even with the old software that I have lost a reply post.  Doing it as above, if it gets lost it merely needs to be copy/pasted again, not completely rewritten.

Thank you Betty I am sure this will save alot of flying posts

I think it would be a good idea to share what we know if anything I get frustrated at times when I am puzzled

Did you know well actually you all probably did

but when you are replying to a post  if you want to read the post at the same time you can move your reply post/box by going to the edge of your reply post with your mouse and move it up and down or left and right so you can see the post's you want to reply too.

I may have confused you even more now but try it does work I tested it!!

No....I haven't noticed any dancing things, but will be on the lookout now.

thank you all, I shall print out all your ideas...I think that is the best thing.

Yes, Betty, I also have lost many a post, even on the old software, and I also lose Internet if someone phones me, for some inexplicable reason, often when in the middle of writing a post, so ought to get in the habit of doing what you suggest.

Love to all,

Sandra, by "square thingy" do you mean the pictures that turn into tiny little squares a lot of the time? I have to save them to my computer in order to see most pictures!

I find I lose my replies if I leave it to go back to a different page. I think we need to have 'Word' or something open as well and try to copy/paste our replies to it if they are on the long side. Betty suggested it, but I always forget!

Sandra, when your post turns into a tiny square do you mean by "it" a picture? It will return to full size once you post your message.

The simplest way I have found not to lose my post while going elsewhere is to post the message and then come back and click on edit (appears under message options).

hi
very occassionally I think I get the tiny square also. Sandra, is it almost like a thin pencil line oblong ??   very small though.  Maybe thats the same thing Sandra is talking about.  Anyway, I have to completely close out of the thread and try again to open a reply window.

I am okay with smileys, and I think links.  But I still get small pictures sometimes.  Thank you Jude for saying you just save them to your computer then look at them that way.  This does work.

Betty, I have no idea what you suggested,  it was beyond me. but I think that Sandra seems to understand and like it. So I will ask her to explain it to me. Maybe put it in one of those yellow and black books. if you know what I mean.

Sandra I am exploring nowand I just found out when  you are replying or starting a post if you press the insert link (world picture next to the smile face above along side the  ,fonts etc....above^then put in the HTML CODE from photobucket or whoever you choose your photo will automatically appear
yay.  That would make things a bit easier.  I will give that a try for sure.

Sandra sweetie
I do so appreciate you giving me credit for a job well done, and calling me bright, and I am serious but I am afraid it was your idea, and you were the one who actually did it.  So while I am grateful for your lovely praise,  I am here  to say that I had nothing to do with it.  All I can say is  Well done Sandra.  Brilliant idea.
