throat cancer - 5/6/2009 3:08 AM ( #1 )
For all of you out there who have helped me by just being there, thank you.
My treatment will be onging for another thirty days, and most unpleasant it is too, very tired and irritable at times, although I don't mean to be, simple little things get me annoyed. My poor wife gets most of my anger and frustration, for which I am really sorry.
I see that some of you are having problems with Vista, I am using it also, and apart from initial teething problems it seems to have settled down and be working ok. Having said that it will probably crash on me now.
May God bless all of you
John

Hello Dear John,

My thoughts are with you and your wife right now.
It is at times like this when we challenge many many things.
You are a kind and gentle man ,I can see this by your words.
I will say a prayer for you and hope that your side effects will
leave you faster than they came.

God bless you John,Sandra

Dear John,
I'm sure your wife understands your anger and frustration, and knows you don't mean to direct it at her.
My heart goes out to you having to undergo such unpleasant treatment, and I hope things begin to improve soon for you. I will light another candle for you now.

As for Vista, I think it's because it is so different from all the other versions, and in my opinion, definitely not an improvement.......but I guess I would get used to it if I had to.

Blessings to you and your wife,
Jude

Blessings to you dear John,
and to your wife . . .
I did not know we had a Scotsman in the group.
Perhaps I did not look closely enough at your profile earlier
to see it .
I am sorry to hear that your treatment for throat cancer is so unpleasant.
Perhaps after you are a little further along in the treatment
it won't seem to bad.
After all,
each day into it from this end
will be one day closer to the other end . . .
and it may very well save your life.
I am sure that from your dear wife's viewpoint
a little irritability will feel like a small price to pay.
Be patient with yourself,
and concentrate on your better health dear John . . .
now is not the time to 'beat yourself up'.
Your body is going through enough already.
I light a candle for you and for your wife
as you both go through this experience together
with love . . .

Dear John,

My heart goes out to you and your wife! Dealing with an unpleasant treatment over a period ot time is challenging and hard on you and your wife. It is the price you pay for the desired result. No wonder you feel cranky, but I am sure your wife understands knowing what you are going through.

I'll keep both of you in my prayers and light a candle for you,

With love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear John, my heart goes out to you and your wife as well. I am sorry that you are having to go through this hard time. My father who is a preacher also had throat cancer about 15 years ago. He is fine now doing ok. I do hope that this will be what happens for you. You sound like a very special person. I am sure your wife understands your anger and you being upset. Please take care and let us know how you are doing. I am going to light a candle for you and your wife now. With love, Joya

Dear John, prayers and candles go out for you, your wife and those in the medical profession who are caring for you.  As Sparrow said, each day is on day closer to the end of the treatment and one day closer to full healing.  It is understandable that you would get annoyed and irritable and even that your wife gets most of it.
Perhaps it is our own security in their love that causes us to take our difficulties out on those who love us the most. I pray that when this ordeal is over, you will both have the quality time together that your obvious love for each other so richly deserves.
