manifesting peace

Hello, I was led yesterday to a candle group called "peace". while lighting candles there I felt that it might be nice to start a thread to write about peace. Paying tribute to where there is peace in our lives, our families, neighborhoods, community, countries etc. In the recognition of what is.... more is manifested. In the expression of longing and intention for what is yet to come ..... we may assist in bringing that forth, in thought and deed. Blessings, liliwings

Thank you, Liliwings, this is a great idea! Violence is in the news all the time, but not the seeds of peace! What comes to mind in this regard is my own parish. While there are diffenences in the Catholic Church one reads about in the paper, there are parishes like ours. We have a great variety of people, some more conservative, others more liberal, but there are no fights going on. We can work together on what we agree, support our Homeless Shelter, support measures to respect ALL of life, join in beautiful liturgies while having personal preferences in the way we pray. The children in our school are taught to care for others in age-appropriate ways. One year they passed out peacemaker awards to each other. For me it is a home away from home! Edda

Thank you Edda for what you wrote. That truely is a microcosm for peace, unity and respect in the world. How fortunate you are to have this home away from home to go to. Isabella, yes, here. Here is a good example of people coming from all differemt orientations, together in respect of each other. Being in service when able to do that. And recieviing when that is all we can do. Individually and toegher we do make a difference. Once I read something that when we get a good feeling for doing something for another, thats the feeling of the heart opening. an open heart can experience peace. Peace out there starts with peace in here. In the hearts of each individual. Each seed of peace we individually sow in any given moment, adds to the harvest. Liliwings

May we all be gardeners of peace . . . sowing the seeds with love and care, nurturing peace with presence and weeding out unkindness with intention. ♥

My heart is full right now. I know that it is the perceived divisions and differences that justify actions of non peace. Today in America our president nominated to the supreme court a new Justice. She would be our first person to serve on the supreme court who is Hispanic. I listened to her speak and my heart was so touched. I could feel the love she had in her heart. Deep love as she talked about her family. I underlined Justify above because I think that divisions and differences justify non peace. But this is not the deep cause of it. The deep cause of it is seperation from God and our true selves. God never seperates from us. But for various reasons, many are seperated from God. From our true selves, our true heart. The deepest truths which are our coonection, our freedom, our truth.

Edda Dear Edda your church sound so inviting I know you talk about such lovely things you do there. Edda it sounds like such a wonderful combintaion your church holds. I am not sure if your church does this but I always loved it as a child if we were taken into a small room off the church. You see they made things sound so much more loving easier to take in than the priest did in church. I gained so much from that little room but sadly the big church actually scared me because no matter how hard I tried I could not understand what was being said.Well I could but it seemed so much more harsh and cold at the time. The truth be known I would go to church now if only I could go with the children Dearest Isabella I will too but I always need to ask questions too Dear Jude thank you for the links I have saved them to my great-full folder Bless you Sparrow for lovely words May we all be gardeners of peace . . . sowing the seeds with love and care, nurturing peace with presence and weeding out unkindness with intention. I hope for this I really do No wonder your heart is full Liliwings this lady offers us al hope.. God never seperates from us. But for various reasons, many are seperated from God. From our true selves, our true heart. I do believe your right Liliwings I really do. Now a puzzling question sorry does manifesting not mean eating away at you in the sense like something horrid is manifesting and peace two opposites words that don't go together Sorry now but I am not sure and you always say it's good to ask. Love to all Sandra xxxxx

Dear sparrow, Thank you for posting this lovely lotus blossom! When visualizing opening up my heart I always visualize it as a lotus blossom opening its petals. We were taught this during Healer training. I believe ithe lotus has some special significance which I have now forgotten. I should know as its in Yoga practise too!!! Dear Sandra, I'm not sure what you are thinking of, but to manifest is to make visible, bring into being....not horrid at all Love, Jude

Dear Sandra, I'm not sure what you are thinking of, but to manifest is to make visible, bring into being....not horrid at all Love, Jude You see in my mind I thought manifest was something like worms eating you. I know it can't be because it's here but it still made me confused sorry now

Sandra, you may have long ago heard the word used by someone who was referring to manifesting something scary or horrible. I am sorry if thats the case. Jude explained the word. And yes, people who are dark can use manifesting in ways that are dark. But we all, yourself included, try to manifest that which is of light and love and hope and peace. Thats what Jesus does. Manifests healing, manifests fish and loaves of bread.. manifests wine................... Manifests love. Sending love, liliwings

Bless you Liliwings I knew it could not be a horrid word because it was in gratefulness but you know me and my dimness by now I understand now the real meaning and in a way it's way better to ask it's like the word powerful ..dear Edda explained this to me in a way that I never knew could be... Ok I shall leave you now Liliwings... Good thread though as it gives us all light well if you understand the words

Wow...What a beautiful thread to start up! Thank you Liliwings! The lotus flower...though there are many reasons for its symbolism...Jude. One that came to my mind is the 1000 petal lotus of the crown chakra. The spiraling up of all energies to open the lotus within you. And of course using the lotus in all chakras and through the yantras and mantras as well with the colors associated at each chakra center. Though there are some unique differences from Master Yogi's writings and teachings about the precise colors and certain symbols within these chakra centers. Their gifts heightened and given to us all who study them. And then there is also the fact that a lotus flower can and does grow up through the mud...in ponds..and blooms with all its beauty still...."overcoming adversity comes to mind." I am tryin' to remember the story told to me... one was at a Peace Kirtan Concert. Oh yes it was to visualize during this event a great lotus flower opening up from where we all were that evening and sending out Peace to everyone on the planet from the lotus that was empowered by all the love and peace we all had to offer up as a group. To me the lotus is quite a powerful and beautiful symbol of Hinduism...Buddhism...Zen...Taoism. In Christianity, The Sacred Immaculate Heart is our symbol of purity and beauty and the light that beams from it. Then of course the flame too that which burns eternally and purifies spirit. Well I am so glad you have started this thread for Peace! Thanks for link to pathways for peace, Jude! Peace, Love and Joy, Diane
Grateful to be here! What a gift and connection builder! Love and Gratitude, Love who You Are
