Welcome to the forum, Marie! I am glad you found us! I will be glad to pray for your children that they may find jobs. Perhaps you can tell us more about them and yourself, if you wish. This is a difficult time for those who are looking for employment. Probably all of us know someone in this position. My next-door neighbor with two young children just lost his job. I will light a candle for your intentions in the ALL group! With every good wish and love, Edda

Hello Marie, I join the others in welcoming you. I hope that you will come as often as you wish, and let us know more about yourself. I will light a candle for your kids. Yes, things are rough out there in the job market. But not at all impossible. And so I will go light a candle, say a prayer right now. For two kids and their loving caring and very concerned mom. Blessings to you Marie. With love, liliwings

I will most certainly pray for your children along with anyone else seeking employment. I am in the same boat as you, I have two children who are almost at the end of their rope due to being unemployed. One is 25, the other 23 both having college degrees, both living at home. It is so frustrating to see them day after day, pounding the pavement, reading the want ads, searching the internet, with no success. They will always have a home here, however, I won't live forever and want to see them happy in whatever they choose, they just need to find that something to do. Lighting candles almost daily for the unemployed as sometimes I am tired and forget - Joni

hi Joni, it is nice to meet you. I see you live in Massachuttes. I lived in MA until I was 18 years ago, manyyyyyyy decades ago. I will pray for your "children" as well. I will light another candle for Marie's "kids" as well as your chidlren. And all others who are looking for jobs. The candles will be lit in the "all" group. This is a difficult time for so many. Blessings to your children and you

Thank you all for the warm welcome and prayers. My two kids are 25 and 30. They too have college degrees, and both look for jobs daily. They have sent out a bunch of resumes, but so far nothing. I know that there are a lot of people in their shoes. I pray for all unemployed people. Thank you again. Marie

Small world - I have lived in Massachusetts all of my life. I see you now live in Vermont. My daughter graduated from the University of Vermont in 2008 and would visit as often as I could, the drive up was so peaceful. It is beautiful there and that's where I would like to move, however, I would not like to go from snow to more snow. Joni

Joni It is beautiful there and that's where I would like to move, however, I would not like to go from snow to more snow. indeed. The weather in the Boston area of MA seens to be, on average, 10 degrees warmer in the winter. And they get about 6 weeks longer growing season. I suspect that varies depending on where in MA you live. I live near UVM. So maybe we crossed paths and even exchanged a smile. Sending prayers for your children, and you. liliwigs

Thank you again for all of the prayers and good wishes. They are deeply appreciated. I have another request to make at this time. My sister-in-law just found out she has breast cancer. I ask for your prayers that she make a full and speedy recovery and that she has help to make difficult decisions in the days ahead of her. Thank you, Marie LA

Dear Marie . . . I will keep a candle lit as well, for your sister-in-law. With early diagnosis, breast cancer can be treated successfully. I hope you will return and let us know how she is doing with love . . . sparrow

oh Marie, I am sorry she has to deal with this. What Sparrow said, echos my thoughts. Would you like to tell us her first name? That way we could light the candle using her name. This is not needed. But you may like that idea. I am sending love to you, your Sister in law, and her family. Liliwings

Hello everyone, My sister-in-law's name is Stacey. She is a wonderful person and the only girl in my husband's family, besides her mother. She is also the youngest child in the family. Everybody is just heartbroken to hear this news. The prayers are very much appreciated. Thank you all for these unselfish acts of kindness. I too have had cancer before, and know from experience that prayers are the best medicine for the soul. God Bless All Of You, Marie LA
