 I have only tears of compassion to offer. At the same time I find that this is true:

My heart is broken
all over again . . .
indeed
that is how it felt
when my own son died.
Reading this poem
takes me back like a rocket
to that terrible day.
It is only as I look back over the years
that I can see the bigger picture,
and have come to find the deeper meaning . . .
and it fairly takes my breath away.

I think,
