Dearest Sharon,

Thank you for the good news! I am sure you are totally worn out after all the strain and worry, but you are also relieved!
I am quite sure that the flu shot does not cause bronchitis. People may experience some soreness and fever but nothing like that.

I am keeping you and your mum in my prayers,

Much love,
Edda

Peace and joy!

Dear Sharon,
I'm so pleased the news is better than you expected. I hope now that your mother gets all the appropriate treatment so she can go home as soon as he is well enough.

I hope you are having a well deserved lie-in this morning.

Dear Edda Jude Sparrow and Tara
Thank you once again for your messages. I've been to see mum today and they have started her on the treatment for the bronchitis. She's on a inhaler and tablets so hopefully once they start working she should feel a lot better. She is still on the oxygen but they have reduced it a bit to see how she goes and if she's ok will continue reducing it till she doesn't need it and once that happens she will be allowed home which she's looking forward to and seeing Rye she's been missing him. She was feeling very tired today though the nurse said it was hardly surprising considering how poorly she has been this week and still is but hopefully we are now over the worse and just hope it stays that way. Managed to have a right argument with dad over the phone tonight why I ever hope he would ever be there for me or mum I don't know. I should give up hoping for the impossible but it really hurts and he gets me so angry its a good job it was on the phone as if it had been face to face I'm not sure that I wouldn't have lashed out at him

Dearest Sharon,

It is so good to hear that your mother is on the mend and that there is hope she can go home in the near future. This has been a hard time for both of you. Looking for support and not getting it makes it even harder. You are not alone in this. Others in the forum are frustrated that their families don't understand. This is something difficult to accept.  You are a real support to your mother, and have shown more strength than you may have thought you had.

A candle is burning for you and your mum!

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Sharon,
I agree with Edda that you have had a very testing time and have shown how strong and loving a woman you are.

I know what it feels like not getting the support you need from those you think should be giving it. I'm glad too that it was on the phone. Losing our temper at such times does no good at all.

I really hope your mum will now go from strength to strength.

I will light a candle and sending Love to you both,
Jude

It is good, dear Sharon,
that your mum is beginning to get better
so that she can return home soon.
Energy is always best spent toward the positive rather than the negative.
It is not worth getting into a fight with your father.
Indeed you are learning
just how strong you really are . . .
these are trying times,
and your presence, love and support
must mean so very much to your mother.
As the others have said,
you are stronger than you know.
Prayers continue for you
with much love . . .

Dear Juliana Edda Jude and Sparrow
I've been in to see mum today unfortunately she wasn't managing on the reduced oxygen so it has had to be increased hopefully they will soon be able to reduce it again and keep reducing it till she can manage without it. She has been complaining of an on and off pain in her side and mentioned it to the nurse who was going to pass it on to the doctor. She said she was still very tired and had slept on and off this morning  and didn't eat much at dinner time as was feeling sick but manged more at tea time. I will be going back to see her tomorrow afternoon.
Feeling really really angry with dad he doesn't care about anyone but himself he's not interested in mum and never has been since she was first poorly. He wasn't able to visit her for two days as he said he had a bad cold not sure I completely believe him as he didn't sound like it on the phone. Both nights he would ring me to see how she was and what the doctors thought was wrong with her when normally he's got nothing to say to me. I'm good enough to speak to when he wants to know something but not any other time. Then my brother who lives away came on friday and has been taking dad to the hospital to see mum not once do I get offered a lift its like I don't exist its the two of them and I might as well not be there. When I left today they passed me while I was walking home they care about noone except themselves they both make me sick. Right now I'm feeling so angry and upset with it all and feel like doing something to myself I just can't take anymore of it

Dearest Sharon,

I am sorry about the delay in your mother's being able to do with less oxygen. I can understand that you are angry at your father and brother but that only hurts you not them! You can't change them! Whatever you do, don't even think about harming yourself. What would this do to your mother? I think you are really worn out with worry. Try to do something nice for yourself and get some extra rest. Your mother needs you as well as you can be!

Much love and warm hugs,
Edda

Edda is right dear Sharon. Just concentrate on your mother and yourself. You are so important to her right now. She really needs someone she can count on, and who really cares for her.
Don't waste your precious energy on your father and brother. They can look after themselves.

Dear Edda Jude and Sparrow,
Thank you once again for your kind messages. Mum has now been allowed home from the hospital she was discharged with inhalers and medications. She is still feeling poorly but hopefully after a few good nights sleep in her own bed she will feel much better but I think it will be a few weeks before she recovers properly. I am just glad that they let her go home I will be going to see her tomorrow and see how she is doing. Hopefully I won't have a run in with dad while I'm there but probably will just seeing him winds me up so much and the way he has been while mums been in hospital makes me hate him even more. They are as bad as each other my brother and him at least my brothers gone so I don't have to see him. I am just so tired at the moment though I didn't give in to the thoughts of doing something to myself the other day. It was a close call I had the tablets all out but then thought of mum and I couldn't go through with it. If it wasn't for her I would have done I know I would

Dear Sharon,

Thank you for the update. I am glad your mother has been allowed to go home, and I think it will help her to recover. As for your fear of meeting your father when you go to see her: couldn´t you make sure he won´t be there when you will? Edda, Jude and Sparrow have already said it: you only harm yourself by hate and anger. Another option would be to leave when he comes, and return later? I´d like to beg you not to waste your precious energy which your mother needs so badly! I´m going to light another candle for her and for you.

Much love and "giraffe" energy,

Juliana

Dear Sharon,
I'm glad your mother is at home now and sleeping in her own bed. I hope you will get some good sleep too.

I second what has already been said about your father. If he is there when you go, try to ignore him or anything he says. Let it go over your head. It is so important for your mother's recovery that you keep your head with him. Alternatively, as Juliana suggests, wait until he isn't at home.

Sending you Love and Hugs,
Jude

Dearest Sharon,

I am so glad your mother has been able to go home. Nothing compares to sleeping in your own bed! And I am happy that you did not go through with swallowing these tablets. How about disposing of them to remove the temptation to use them before you can reconsider? As has been said before, getting angry with your father only hurts you and won't change him. You are a loving, caring daughter to your mother and, I am sure, your mother appreciates it. This is what counts!

You are in my heart and prayers,

Much love,
Edda

Dear Juliana Jude Edda sandra and Joya
Thank you for your messages once again. Mum is still feeling very tired and complaining of an on off pain in her back not sure what that is but am hoping it will ease off soon  otherwise she will have to see the doctor. I wasn't going to see her today but decided to pop in for a couple of hours and took her some flowers to cheer her up as she is feeling pretty down at the moment and I will be going to see her tomorrow. Please if you wouldn't mind keeping her in your thoughts and prayers as she is still feeling quite poorly thank you

Dear Sharon . . .
I did not see these last messages
until now.
I am sorry that your rage against your father
brought you down so low,
and pray that you won't go to that 'place' again . . .
your mother needs you,
and you need you.
I am very happy to hear
that she has returned home,
although under a careful watch.
Perhaps you can plan your visits,
as the others have said,
for times when your father is not there.
You are such a constant in her life,
and a blessing
especially at this time of need . . .
Sharon dear,
candles remain lit for you
with love . . .

Thank you again for your messages. Mum is feeling about the same very tired and still has the pain in her back sometimes. Haven't seen her today but have spoken to her a couple of times on the phone and will see her tomorrow. She went out this afternoon for some fresh air but said it was too much for her and has spent a lot of time sleeping she has no energy to do anything at the moment. I am just hoping that she starts to feel better soon.

Dear Juliana Jude Edda Sparrow and Glenys
Thank you for your messages. Mum had a very bad night on saturday she woke in the early hours of sunday with very bad pains in her back and started panicking she said it scared the life out of her. She spent a lot of sunday sleeping and today feels a little better and the pains have been better today so hopefully they are easing off  and she hasn't needed as many painkillers today which hopefully is a good sign. Its horrible seeing her feeling so poorly when there's nothing you can do to make things any better.
I made an appointment with my gp for wednesday as I've nearly finished the iron tablets I've been on and don't feel any better for been on them. I am so sick of constantly feeling tired

Dear Sharon,

I do hope your mother is feeling better today.

Don't forget, it takes a long time to feel better after your iron levels have been so low. You probably need to take the pills for a little longer yet. Meanwhile, plenty of vitamin C to help you absorb the iron.

Dear Sharon . . .
I am happy to hear that your mother is feeling better.
Also that you are going to see your own doctor.
Do you know
that actually exercise can help
if you are feeling always tired . . .
it must be something that you enjoy,
and start slow . . .
like walking
(a good excuse to take Rye out for a walk)
or just putting on some music you like
and dancing,
or even just moving to the music.
All of these can help to boost your energy
as well as your spirits.
Remember . . .
baby steps.
I never believed it would work
until I tried it.
A candle always burns for you
with much love . . .
