After the funeral mass (I had to work and could not go) Mary broke down and had to go home to be alone.  She has come around quite a bit but right now is nursing a very bad cold.  I am able to talk to her on the phone and did get to see her for a few minutes yester day when I came home from the first vet visit with EZ.  She also was worried about him and the way he was still bleeding and I did call her to tell her EZ was in the ER.  She has been calling for progress reports...

Then God sent the Greyhound to live among man and remember.
And when the Day comes, God will call the Greyhound to give
Testament, and God will pass judgment on man.

Right now she has a cold and is losing her voice so it is very hard for me to understand her but she is such a sweet caring, loving person that she is calling me to check up on EZ.  I ran into a lady at the vets who lost her husband 9 years ago and she did tell me it does get a little easier.  So for both Mary and myself I am praying it does.
 
BTW I was in shock when Mary told me that she had to pay for an Honor Guard for Jerry for the funeral.  I didn't but then I used a National Cemetery for the Interment I wonder if she will have to do the same again.

Mary helped me so it is my turn to help her.  Talked to her this am still sick with the cold but is doing okay.  I am getting ready to pick up my greyhound from the hospital and can't wait to get him home
