Please pray for Jerry Gensler

My friend Mary's husband has been ill and undergoing many tests.  We are praying that it is not cancer of his liver.  Yesterday Mary had to rush him in to the hospital with severe pain and tomorrow they are going to do a biopsy of his liver.  It is showing a mass there but they do not know if it is coming out of the liver or surrounding the liver.  Please pray for Jerry and Mary also.  She is a DAV and I know she can use the support that only all of you know how to do.

Stayed at the hospital for a few hours with Mary and Jerry.  Called her about 1:30 ext and she told me that they were going to take Jerry to the OR at 2 pm est and not do the Special Procedure that was scheduled she will let me know what is going on later and I will post when I find out.

Mary Just called.  They did not have to take Jerry to the OR but decided to try the needle biopsy in Special Procedures which was a success.  He is in a lot of pain and his daughter is with him.  Mary is heading back to the hospital.  She will either update me tonight or I will see him tomorrow when I go to work.

Mary stopped down at my office and told me that Jerry was well enough to go home today and now it is a wait and see game waiting for the biopsy report.  I am praying that it is not cancer

It was not good news on Monday.  Jerry has cancer of the liver and Mary told me they gave him 6 months.  I hope that is wrong.  He saw the Oncologist yesterday and will start chemotherapy treatment on Monday.  Now I guess it is another wait and see if the chemo is going to work.  Mary seems to be holding up well and will talk to her later this evening.

I am sorry the news for Jerry is not better! Estimates are not precise and can be quite wrong. Hopefully chemotherapy will be effective! This is a difficult time for him and Mary!

Yes, I think it quite wrong of doctors to give a time limit. I'm so sorry the news is not better, and will light a candle for Jerry and for Mary.
