Gestalt teaches us that the whole is more important than the parts & as we experientially metabolize this w/in us it integrates & unifies everything more & more... With the etymology, too, of education, educecere, which is to educe, draw out, usher forth our possibility into Essence, Presence. Amen.

All week have been in training at my work site & have learned a lot; today we wrap up w/ a few more presentations culminating w/ a luncheon at Johnny Carinos. However, at the last session of the day on gangs yesterday, got a call from one of the top state agency’s here that I have been hired for a more responsible, considerably more remunerative, extraordinary perks, position… doing exactly what I like most, clinical work w/ adults & kids.

Of course, there’s much to be grateful for – told my wife it was just fortuitous luck; she responded, no, it’s God’s will in Spanish. I’ve learned over the years, above all, that the importance of family & religious values are paramount along w/ hard work, preferably meaningfully enriching, are the greatest good, what truly invigorates & ennobles.

Dear Bernie, I would certainly agree that family, friends and loved ones, helping others, plus doing what we love most, are really the only things that matter.

Dear Bernie . . .
Your wife is a wise person,
and I suspect that you knew too,
that your new opportunity is more than just 'fortuitous luck' . . .
you are truly blessed
to be able to work and make a living
doing what lives in you to be done
with love . . .

For someone who loves helping others, what can be more gratifying than what you do?

I am deeply interested in psychology, it is a fascinating field. I have a lot of respect for people who make it a profession or a calling to help others. Some really do make a difference. The psychologist my spouse sees at the moment is helping him immensely.

It is not my profession but the few courses I took and books I read have been very useful.

Congrats!
