New and Grateful - 9/8/2009 7:21 AM ( #1 )
Hello, I am new to this website and forum.  I find myself having a lot of trouble lately with gratitude.  I still am able to be grateful to my Lord and Saviour for small things...sunrise, the moon, beautiful flowers, my husband and "kids" (4 dogs) but this year has been a difficult one.  Mom went into a nursing home in January, my husband's gramma died in January, husband laid off in March (still no work) I lost my job in July, we lost our house and am now living with my mother-in-law (I'm grateful for that she is a wonderful lady).  But I would say today.....I'm grateful for a loving and forgiving Father in Heaven because I am working on making quite a few personal changes in myself and my life and not always successful.  Because He is so loving and forgiving I know He is still with me on this and guiding my steps along the way.  Just wanted to say HI and share my gratitude on that.

Dear Sweetly Broken . . .
Welcome to the Gratefulness forums . . .
you are surely in the right place.
I love the name you have chosen,
for to me it means that through breaking we are healed,
and it sounds as if you have been experiencing much 'breaking'.
It is a blessing to be grateful in the midst of so many trials . . .
I hope that you will return
and share your journey
with love . . .

Dear Sweetlybroken,

I join Sparrow and Edda in welcoming you to the Forum. As you are discovering, a heart has to be broken before it can be an open and loving heart, and our life has to be tipped upside down sometimes before we are able to change.

I look forward to seeing more of your posts here,

Blessings,
Jude
