Buba, I thanked you in anitcipation but made a boy out of you, since "Bub" is the German for boy. Sorry! Again, thank you!

It's ok dear Edda!I don't mind how you called me!
The great news is that Leon is at home,
and I am very glad about that!
I'll keep to light candles for his recovery.
Sending you many regards and love,
Buba,Goran's mom

Candles remain lit
dear Edda . . .
for Leon
and for you!
I hope you will not be too proud to accept help
from friends and neighbors.
As we all have admonished other forum members
to take care of themselves
too  ,
please do take care of your own needs as well,
or you will be no good
for Leon.
I am so pleased and relieved
that he was not hurt as badly
as he could have been.
Take advantage of some quiet time
if you can,
and remember dear Edda,
that you both
are very much in my prayers
with much love and gratitude . . .

Thank you,Sparrow, for your concern, your kind words, candles and prayers.
I am managing pretty well. My "strong" neighbor who can pick up a ramp with one hand goes behind Leon when Leon goes upstairs so he can catch him should he lose his balcance. My "cat" neighbor watched him while I went out.  See, I am pretty good about asking for help!

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

See, I am pretty good about asking for help!

That's good!

It's also good to have such helpful neighbours.

Yes, Jude, I am VERY grateful for our neighbors!

They definitely stay on my Christmas cookie list!
In the meantime some chocolate chip cookies will do!

Love,
Edda

In thinking about it
dear Edda,
I am so grateful
that this was not a major disaster for you and Leon.
I'm glad that you are wise enough
to ask for help,
and also that you have such a helpful neighbor.
(I would be helpful too,
even if it was just to remain on your Christmas cookie list )
Prayers continue
and candles remain lit
with much love . . .

Thank you, Sparrow, for your prayers, candles and kind words!

I am up early but Leon decided to sleep in so I have time to check messages and respond! We have to take each day, one at a time as we always tell each other!
I wish these sunny days would get a bit warmer so Leon can enjoy the outside!

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Re:A candle for Leon - 9/18/2009 2:19 PM ( #35 )
Maybe we should start a forum about taking things an hour at a time or one day at a time etc.  I know im not good at doing this, but it does help just to stop even if for a few minutes, and then sit down and chill out for a bit.

I am praying and lighting a candle to pray that you and leon with take things nice and steadily, as in the hare and the tortoise race, the tortoise won and he was loads slower than the hare!

With love to you Edda and Leon.

a hug to both of you!  ;)

Thank you, dear Eleanor!

I am not quite sure what you have in mind, but if you go to the Hello thread in the Grief and Gratitude Forum you'll find the Gratefulness Cafe where there is often a back and forth between people who happen to be in the forum at the same time!

Leon is able to sit outside just now. We have bright sunshine and 70 degrees!
We take it one day at a time as I said before!

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Thank you, Glenys!

Leon saw his doctor today for follow-up. He thought Leon was doing well considering his age. His dislocated collar bone wil be painful for some time. The doctor removed five staples that were used to close a scalp wound but left it to me to find the stitches in the other wound once it is healed and one can find them!

Love,
Edda
Peace and joy!

Dear Edda,
I'm glad to hear that Leon is improving. I can imagine that a collar bone would be painful for a long time. There isn't much that we do without moving that part of us!

I will light a candle for his continued healing,

Love,
Jude

Re:A candle for Leon - 9/24/2009 4:30 PM ( #40 )
Thank you, Jude!

Your candles and prayers are much appreciated!

Actually, Leon is supposed to move the arm, probably to avoid a frozen shoulder!
No other treatment is recommended. I do give him pain medication occasionally, especially if he can't sleep.

Much love,
Edda
Peace and joy!
